Lets not forget the BTC pipeline. They have control of natural gas and have used it before as a weapon. Wouldn't it be interesting if the South Ossetia and Abkhazia separatists started blowing up the pipeline. The Russian "peacekeepers" are saying the cannot control them. That might be as much as 17% of Europes imported oil? That's enough to leverage in a "diplomatic" solution to a separatist precedence.
