Oil debate lands on Virginia's coastline

Simply ridiculous! The clowns in Richmond and Washington (or wherever they're vacationing) are putting on the usual act, delaying any kind of real action and shaming themselves. Either they understand the energy emergency or they simply don't get it. If we don't put all immediate effort into a broad, inclusive program that includes all potential energy sources we will lose. Energy drives our economy and we are running out quickly. If our Naval forces can't work around an oil industry we have even bigger problems.

Scott is absolutely right that off-shore drilling in Virginia won't produce any oil for years. In fact it won't produce any oil at all as long as Scott and his cohorts keep us from drilling.

I guess the Democrats do not see the importance of lowering fuel price for the country. Everybody will pay the price whenever they buy anything that is transported by trucks or airplanes. Natural gas and electricity will also rise unless the U.S. starts drilling. Lower income citizens that cannot afford to heat their homes this winter will pay the ultimate price. And the the Democratic Party can take the credit for that.
