Congressman Boehner, you have my solid and unwavering support. It has been my hope that this action you all have taken might actually result in three victories 1)Shame Pelosi, et al into returning to Washington. 2) Energize the conservative base enough to eventually oust these jokers from Washington. 3) It may be time to start a campaign to get rid of the EPA. Or at least reducing some of its regulatory powers. This agency seems to be one of the central culprits that is weakening our country instead of allowing us to be strong.

The amazing part of this is the Average Media brainwashed man in the street thinks we can play games with 70% of our energy ,mostly controlled by Dictators who don't like us much at all.We confuse reality shows with reality now ,we are real spoiled and ripe for a fall .This is gonna come home to roost for these idiots who think its all a big game of politics when they lose their jobs and bank accounts thru Democratic "Fiddling".

The American public is not fooled by Pelosi's blatant lies. This wicked witch of the west is arrogant, disgusting and is most probably corrupt as well considering how she stands to profit from high energy costs. She and that hack from Nevada Reid could care less about what the clear majority of the people are demanding. They owe their souls to the greenies and the pain they are causing American familes and the damage to the economy bothers them not. I'm all for alternative energy myself but they are in the future and/or yet to be developed. In the meantime, we need to take advantage of the resources we do have. I'd be willing to bet that OCS, ANWR and oil shale would equal the entire reserves of the middle east. We won't know until we go for it and anyone that is against it should be thrown out of office for sending $700 billion out of the country to folks who don't much like us. If the Russian aggression in Georgia, Chavez's escapades, etc. does not sway them, their continuous blocking dramatically endangers the security of this country and borders on treason.

Message to TaraWall. Didn't your mother ever tell that if you can't say something intelligent, don't say anything at all? By the way, are you moveon.org or dailykos? Just curious because your intelligence level sems in line with theirs.

Do "all of the above" or throw money at the problem when you do not know what to do. For our current leadership, it beats asking someone who knows what to do. If we do not let technical people solve our technical problems, we will continue downhill.

I am grateful to John Boehner for getting on board with this issue. He was not at first the actual ring leader. As much as drilling for our own oil is of mass importance, so are advocating for TERM LIMITS!!! With actual term limits, people like Reid and Pelosi would not accumulate the power they now hold. So, I am all for drilling, but I would like to see our house and senate choose to do the right thing and add term limits.

Dance Nancy dance. Boehner and the Republicans have the lead but Nancy won't follow. Her seat is safe so the route to reasonable energy prices goes thru her more moderate Democratic colleague's districts. I really don't understand how a party that purports to be a champion of the poor and middle class can sit by and do nothing to increase production of oil and gas.

Nazi Pelosi is so wrong on this issue that there really is nothing to debate. She's a demagogue and a limo liberal millionaire. Disgusting. Get rid of these people. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm working to take my country back.

It's not just oil. Energy independence has become a national security issue. For over 100 years, we have optimized our political, economic and defense systems on carbon based energy independence. Drilling is imperative because we cannot change that infrastructure overnight and world events (Russian energy independence and energy as political and economic weapon) are forcing us to maintain our current carbon based system or offer additional vulnerabilities to Russian dominance and intimidation to ourselves and our allies in Europe. This doesn't mean we need to remain on carbon based systems forever, it simply means that a transition period and plan should exist that does not expose the United State national security interests to exploitation by energy independent nations with a military capability to support it. Neither a transition plan or time period exists today and global warming is not a factor in this case because neither Russia or China do not adhere to it and Europe has not weaned itself from their carbon energy risk exposure. Drilling is damage control for our neglect of energy independence. Drilling is essential and a risk mitigation factor to give us time to plan and transition our energy independence. Pelosi's motive may be idealistic but the timing and her actions are elitist and dangerous to U.S. national security.
