I can live with the selection for now and see how it plays out. Hopefully RF and Coach Franklin have considered everything and made the best decision for the team for now.
While not my choice, I hope Jordan does well. I am concerned though about his history of concussions and what effect they may have on him mentally during games. His past in-game tendancy to be gun shy worries me.
What bothers me about all of this though is the 'transfer talk' being thrown around about Chris. Why is it that many fans (and some media) immediately bring up that a player is considering transfering when he isnt a starter? Crazy talk. I have more faith in Chris to learn from this experience, work through the initial disappointment, and continue to be a valuable part of this team. Recent history tells us he'll be needed and get another opportunity.
Transfer talk…man-up and fight for your job.
Coach Friedgen has this team fighting for spots and nothing appears to be promised. We have receivers switching to the defense and QBs holding kicks just to get on the field. A competitive climate in practice will hopefully result in a quality product come Aug. 30. Good luck to Steffy but beware that everyone wants to play and there are two very talented QB’s looking to start behind you.
I honestly think that Ralph made a sympathy decision to choose Steffy over Turner. Steffy is a 5th year senior who's been with the program for ever it seems and I just think Ralph had to make that decision. Who cares what you look like in practice. You don't win games in practice and that is a reason why Maryland loses out on the good recruits in the area. Ralph, like Gary Williams is about at the end of his road. I'm very very disappointed with the decision like many other fans and we will see how this turns out. Chris win games for you point blank.
