Lieberman is much worse than pro choice. He's liberal, through and through. McCain hurts himself just by letting this possibility get discussed! I once had tremendous respect for Lindsey Graham. But that was back when he was a conservative. Now he has gone Maverick too, and is totally unpredictable, and is therefore not to be trusted by conservatives.

They should change their names to the once conservative party formally known as the Republicans. What a joke. On one side we have a radical liberal party and on the other side we have the moderate liberal party. Who speaks for conservatives now? What a revolting selection to choose from. Blech!

Mr. Lieberman is a decent guy. Cabinet post? Sure. He is not the right VP choice.

So now the defense of Israel trumps the defense of America and conservative values? Clearly the terrorists have defeated the Republican party if this is what it has come to. BTW does McCain have any idea where Lieberman stands on taxes? Or does he even care?

You all need to realize, the Vice President doesn't really serve a pertinent role. They are the tie-breaking vote in the Senate, but other than that they are just a face of the Administration. They can serve as an adviser, and I think in that role Lieberman is great. McCain will do what he wants. He always has, but he has done so while putting his country first. No one can dispute that. Mainstream America is not in line with the ultra-conservative right. And in this political atmosphere, if you want a Republican in office, you're going to make a few concessions. If you want to blame someone you can point your finger at George Bush and GOP Leadership

Fools. Lieberman is a warmonger and open borders enthusiast. That's why he is McCain's pick. Why do you think Lieberman went to Mexico recently, along with Jeb Bush? Can't the readers of the Jerusalem Times, a.k.a. Washington Times, figure this out?

Well McCains going to lose anyway. He might as well take Leiberman. They're made for each other. Leiberman is the man when it comes to experience in losing. Just look how much he helped out Al Gore in 2000. OBAMA'08 ALL THE WAY

RE: golfballs03 "You all need to realize, the Vice President doesn't really serve a pertinent role." I'm sure that's exactly what JFK was thinking when he picked Johnson as VP. McCain is very old and if he dies in office we would be stuck with a progressive Democrat running the show.

mccain and the mob – cover-up McCain: Worse than you think He's despised by fellow Vets, especially fellow POWs, not only for cooperating with the enemy, but also for blocking every effort to make sure all American POWs were returned after the war. http://www.albertpeia.com/mccainandthemob.htm http://www.albertpeia.com/currentopics10108.htm http://www.albertpeia.com/wallstreetlunacy10108.htm http://www.albertpeia.com

Albert, you are clueless. I know many of the men John McCain has served with and all of them admire him.

THE RAPE OF MCAMNESTY'S DAUGHTER Don't you remember during the primary campaign a reporter asked McAmnesty what he would do if his daughter were raped (say, by an illegal alien he has let in, as many American women have), and got pregnant? He said they would seriously discuss abortion! Now he goes to the evangelicals and lies about the issue! All the while seeking an abortionist running mate! These are "well-established pro-life credentials"? Sounds like more McSlickTalk lies to me. In fact, this guy is a liberal Democrat who tried very hard to become Kerry's running mate. He is simply lying to people who want a real Republican. McFraud!!! I say make McMiniMe (Grahamnesty) the VP. He seems to be about the same on the intellectually-challenged scale, he has also done the neo-con globalist sellout, and is used to being three steps behind, sniffing the big dog! Bow, wow, wow, whose dog art thou?

You obama maniacs on this site need to read the tea leaves. Obama is actually on the way down and probably on the way out after his totally pitiful performance at Saddleback. As far as this article goes, Liberman is a great man but has no place on the ticket with John McCain. If he needs to go outside the box, go with Kay Bailey Hutchison but he will be smart if he just goes with Mitt Romney who will definitely strengthen the ticket.

If after he was elected as an independent he had stayed independent instead of kissing up to the Dumocrats, he might have had enough credibility to be a acceptable Veep candidate. As it is now he would be a liability with a large number of Republicans.
