Robin Hood used to take from the rich and give to the poor. Now get a load of Obama's idea of fairness: you take from the rich and give to the Government, and never see the money again. If that's fairness then why don't we just cut to the chase and elect Hugo Chavez our president. Get a pro instead of a beginner. I pray the country will wake from its spell and see the truth. One gets the feeling that rich liberals will vote Obama into office and then find ways to sequester their money into places where the fair tax man can't get to it. Then he will have to go to those making $50,000 and above to pay their fair share. I can't help the feeling that we have been here before.

Pay little attention to Obama's "Tax Plan Of The Day" speeches, just standby and their will be STILL ANOTHER version tomorrow. In the Philadelphia debate, Obama regurgitated his familiar mantra that he would veto the falsely maligned Bush taxcuts which resuscitated the U.S. economy from the inherited Clinton recession; but, which Obama says "favor only the rich". That tired old populist ploy of "soak the rich" in spite of the fact that under Bush, the top 50% of taxpayers now pay an astounding 97.1% of all taxes. Obama has said on several occasions that he intends to re-instate the Clinton tax rates. However , a brief review of IRS statistics related to post-Bush tax cut revenues reveals exactly the opposite from Obama's sermons. Specifically, the share of individual income taxes paid by the bottom 40% of American taxpayers, as a result of expanded child tax credits and earner income tax credits, was reduced from 0% to a -4%; and, took another ten million low income Americans completely off of the tax roles. That is, a very significant four(4) % decrease. On the other end of the scale, the tax burden on the top 20% of income earners, the so-called rich, increased to a full 85% of the total tax burden. For examples on the lower end of the scale, a Single Individual making 30K paid $8400 in taxes under Clinton; under Bush $4500. A married couple making 60K: under Clinton $16,800, under Bush $9000. So Obamaspeak, an economic strategy that left our Nation in a RECESSION on the Clinton's departure from the White House, would damage the poor more then any other group. In brief, the expiration of the Bush tax cuts would lead to a $2.4 trillion tax increase over the next decade. One can summarize this quite simply by noting that IF Obama's Marxist philosophies of soaking the rich were valid, Communist societies throughout the world would be exorbitantly wealthy, in lieu of economic basket cases a' la Castro's Cuba. The same can be said of his forced plan for Socialized Medicine. A program which is failing miserably in such Nations as Canada and the United Kingdom. Canada, as just one example, is now experiencing a dramatic shortfall in physicians. What else would you expect from an individual who was reared under Marxist dictum! Greg Neubeck

Apparently Moore believes his own propoganda and refuses to understand that Amercans for the most part don't. He seems to think that when one says they are pro-environment they would back the same policies he backs. He should ask who is "anti-environment" and then perhaps he could start on the road to understanding. We are all "pro-environment". Its just that lots of us are not anti-people and anti-development.

There is nothing fair about working all your life to get ahead and then have your money taken away so that someone that decided not to work that hard can benefit from your labor. The successful civil rights movement during the latter part of last century has given us all equal opportunities in this country to better ourselves. Many of us have done so. I just did not know that redistribution of wealth was part of this movement. Thanks to Obama, now I do.

Welfare redistribution in this country now totals 700 BILLION DOLLARS,and we continue to have more people supposedly living in poverty than we did when the collectivists started this BS. Now NOBAMA wants to be FAIR? If so, he should abolish WELFARE which is nothing more, or less than a gigantic SCAM which costs more than we spend on national security and provides NOTHING positive to the country's economy, or to the culture. If he wants to get my attention, he will speak in DETAIL as to how he will pay off the National Debt, and then get all those millions of people who don't work, never have, and never will off their butts and into doing something productive (which is NOT blindly voting democrat every election!). Illegals do the work that Americans refuse to do simply BECAUSE the Americans can make more money doing NOTHING. Did you know that a family of four, on welfare, receives total benefits exceeding $70,000 a year, and pays not a dime in taxes?

It looks like Obama's slow responses are not thoughtful. They are sloooooooow. He seems to be grasping for the right answer. Some would say Obama looks like the "deer in the headlights". I believe Obama doesn't know his scripted answers well enough to give a firm convincing response. He is groping for the answer that he should have thought about long ago. If you believe Obama never thought about "when does a fetus get human rights" then you need to say, "Why didn't he?" After all, he has voted repeatedly on the issue. Abortion is a core issue. Almost everyone has a set opinion except Obama. It is shocking that Obama needs to think long and hard to come up with a thoughtful answer after all these years. Obama can't be that slow.
