I think the Michigan vote will be a big deal for America. There can be no better example of the failure of long term control of government by democrats than the Wolverine state. The motown meathead's problems magnify the situation. This vote will depend on whether the democrats have reached a tipping point in which enough voters are on the state dole through various programs, etc. to reelect these losers. This has been an issue cited by critical thinkers for centuries. When more voters are "gettin" than "givin" we're doomed.
Part of McCain's problem with Michigan is that many voters are "gettin", as in "gettin" out leaving mostly poorer voters behind. I really hope Granholm and Democrats hold onto power there. Now that I live in the South I have come to appreciate Michigan's high tax, business unfriendly, very pro union government atmosphere.
Yep. Everytime we win a new auto or auto parts plant location competition I salute Michigan - a state that one might think would naturally provide lots of comptetition for new auto manufacturing.
But I reamain a Detroit Tigers fan.
