Two reasons for McCains "surge". (1) He listens to the people. They know that in a flat economy, more taxes are not the answer because the government should not be in competition with business. Fiscal responsibility dictates that LESS GOVERNMENT SPENDING should be associated with less income for a flat private economy to increase the impact of revenues from existing taxes on the deficit. (2) McCain believes in America and it's people and he has the will to fight instead of blame. He went to Iraq, he talked to our military, he came back and fought for the surge against overwheming opposition to it. Regardless of what Obama and the Democrats think, it is working. The American people can see that and it brings back the faith in their leaders and their military that the Democrats constantly denigrate for political advantage. McCains maverick reputation is because he feels it is for the good of America and not just the Republican party.

Q. At want point do unborn babies have rights? OBAMA: err, aah, aah, aah, eer, aah, that's above my paygrade. McCAIN: At the moment of conception. There is your difference

The real reason why McCain is edging out Obama is because as more people learn more about B.Hussein Obama the less they like this guy and his complete lack of judgment, his messianic massive arrogance, what his views are which are radically liberal, and his complete lack of accomplishments and experience. The majority of taxpaying working Americans are conservative or moderate conservative. Not only that but Obama is the biggest flip flopper in history who will say and do anything to get elected. He can't allow his "real" positions to be known which are basically his voting record in the Senate. There's not a lot of love for Juan McCain coming from conservatives that's for sure. Finally, you don't award the highest position in the US to an unknown inexperienced person. People aren't voting for McCain, they are voting against Obama.

The American people are finally waking up to the fact that Obama is an empty suit with a good speech writer. He has zero experience for the job, no major legislative accomplishments, has never managed a budget at any level, and has never once "brought people together" on any issue whatsoever. It's typical of liberals to put their faith in such a man. Once the 527 groups get their teeth into Mr. Obama this fall the race will be over. He has no defense for what's coming at him. Mr. Corsi's book on Obama has had an effect as well. As usual, the liberals attack the messenger when they can't refute the charges.

McCain is a clever man, I'll give him that. He knew that he would never get the Republican nomination if he continued to press on issues the way he truly feels about them. He campaigned for Bush's re-election despite the smear campaign Bush ran against him and his adopted black daughter from Bangladesh in the Republican primaries in 2000. He was close to being John Kerry's running mate and had serious discussions about switching to the Democratic party ... then he completely changed several positions to align with Bush 95% of the time. He knew that was his only shot at the presidency. After the back and forth between the Maverick and the Republican party that has been going on for decades, I can't wait to see what will happen if he becomes President and reverts to his old positions. He'll have the last laugh if he makes it, that's for sure.

People are beginning to find out how duplicitous and what an extreme leftist Obama is. It was recently discovered that he voted against a bill (while he was a Senator in Illinois, and Chairman of the Health and Human Services Committee), that would prevent the killing of a baby born inadvertently during an abortion. When this fact was uncovered, he said he voted against it because it did not contain "a roe v wade exemption." Then it was discovered the bill did contain the exemption and he had personally voted to add it to the Illinois bill. On the final Committee vote, he voted against the bill. He has been stating that he would have voted for the bill passed in the U.S. Senate and House because it contained the exemption. Incidentally, that bill passed with NO senator or congressman voting against it. Now that the full story is out, he states that he voted against the Illinois bill because the wording of the exemption was wrong. Duplicitous and extreme.

Democrats mistake "being on the wrong track" to mean that Americans want to pay more taxes, pay higher energy bills, turn food into fuel in order to increase food proces, attack businessess that provide the jobs that sustain us, cede more of our decisions to Washington and to implement liberal policies across the board. Americans are definitely more conservative than liberal and Democrats just don't get that. Despite some proclaiming that the conservative movement has been dismantled I note that liberals now typically call themselves "progressives" while conservitives still call themselves conservatives. A new paint job doesn't fool every buyer.

Mainstream Media: The man behind the curtain THE CHANGING WORLD OF INFORMATION RESOURCES In the "old days" before the internet we were confined to the information fed to us by the media organizations - television, newspapers and magazines. Digging deeper into a story meant buying a lot of books or spending time at the public library, and most likely there would not be adequate research data available until months after the fact. Things have changed. Thanks to a boundless archive of free information available on the internet, Americans who are willing to look for it can uncover the real story behind the groomed and edited news report issued by the media, in many cases within mere hours after the story is released. AND NOW, A WORD FROM OUR SPONSOR... It should be noted that the American public is not the naïve flock of sheep it was back around September 11, 2001. Again thanks to the wealth of resources available on the internet, we have become savvy to the influence of government and corporate funding on media organizations. What was once called Mainstream Media [MSM] is now more appropriately tagged Corporate Media. For those of you who are not aware of these influences, you owe it to yourself to do some research. Look into the funding sources of corporate media and how these sources influence the news we watch, read and hear, particularly politics. It’s a real eye-opener, trust me. While you’re at it, do some Googling for independent news sources. Compare their version of any given political news story to the version issued by mainstream/corporate media. The differences are glaring, if not stunning. Mainstream Media journalism is biased according to the special interests of the political and corporate sponsors attached to that particular media source. News reports are carefully groomed and edited to comply with those special interests. Our government has become the biggest political influence on the media, with strong funding and sponsorship ties. Media bias can be and is used to alter the reality of the world around us, covertly shaping our opinions and decisions to fit into the status quo. Propaganda, cover-ups, skewed facts, manipulated polls – powerful tools used by corporate media to manipulate and deceive the American public. Today these machinations are working at a feverish peak, focused on manipulating the presidential election to an outcome that will favor the corporate media, its special interests and the government forces controlling it. Let’s hope that the 21st century American is indeed wiser now than it was in the fall of 2001. God save America.

"With the economy doing so poorly and the unpopularity of the war in Iraq, Obama should be further ahead," she said. Democrats and leftist media want so much for those two things to be true (if we present it as established fact enough, it soon will be) it's now pathetic when it slaps them in the face. We're winning in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the WOT in general despite the left's strenuous efforts otherwise. The US economy is a miracle of resilience in the face of terrorist attacks, (remember 9/11?), anthrax scares, mortgage crisis, and adamant naysaying by Democrats. Things aren't perfect, but it's clear the biggest economic issue of the day, gas prices, are being kept high by an unfeeling, agenda-driven Democrat congress. You can start welcoming all the newly elected Republican senators, congressmen, and President any time you like, beat the rush.

Who wants to turn over the country to an Ivy League Lawyer, not me. Obama is an elitist and thinks he deserves the Presidency. We small town bitter Americans only think about Guns and God. Well were all aren't rubes like Obama thinks. He's just too inexperienced to be trusted to go up against the likes of Putin.

Just as interesting as Obama's precipitous drop in the polls --- which was bound to come --- is the fact that almost all the comments in response to the article nail that political putz for what he really is: A rank amateur with no experience, no background, no judgment, no historical perspective who is being propped up by his image-makers. The electorate is coming to realize this despite a biased media. Obama is going to lose in November and it may be heading toward a landslide.

Part of Obama's campaign effort is off the radar screen. How do you get poll data on the effect of bogus voters and media bias? The Obama campaign depends on traditional Chicago style machine politics to win. He uses paid groups like Acorn, union campaigners and other voter registration groups to manufacture votes from dead people, nonexistent voters, absentee ballot misuse, etc. Polls can't measure this kind of campaigning and the media ignores it.

It'll be interesting to see what happens to the lead now that McCain, who has already said he doesn't know much about the economy and who says being rich means making more than $5M a year and who cheated on his wife with a millionaire who funded his campaign, has stated that he doesn't know how many houses he has (at least seven). He's in the pocket of big oil, not behind small businesses. Do you think McCain is in touch with small town America?

I just read on the news that they have located B.O.'s brother in Kenya, where he makes about $1 a month. So, Obama, who makes over $4 million a year now, can't give a little something to his own brother? So much for Charity Begins At Home, eh? Anyway, who says making $5 million a year isn't being rich? I guess "Boston" doesn't think so. Get the facts straight, Boston, McCain was married to his first wife for a year and a half before going to Nam where was in a POW camp for 5 YEARS. When he came out he wasn't the same man, and neither was his wife the same woman. Regardless, McCain stayed with her for the next TEN YEARS. OK? TEN YEARS HE TRIED TO MAKE THE MARRIAGE WORK. He also was separated from her when he had the "alleged" affairs (none have been proven). McCain was unsure of which houses were IN HIS WIFE'S NAME, OR HIS OWN (she has her own investments, and, yes, she is rich, something all of us would like to be). McCain is more in touch with those who own guns and go to church on Sunday. Also, those who value LIFE. B.O. is guilty of letting those poor babies die who were born in late-term abortions and lived. B.O. looked the other way when they were thrown into the dirty utility closet. HE LOOKED THE OTHER WAY. NOW, "Boston", you think that's "in touch with small town America?" I think, personally, that that's in touch with Nazi Germany.
