Outstanding commentary, Mr. Pruden. You nailed Obama like nobody before, and there is no doubt that his imagemakers can't handle the truth. The Democrat Convention has been like a bad movie, totally out of touch with reality and featuring an unbearable cast of thousands, symbolized by a former President who was impeached, a nominee for Vice President who is a world-class hypocrite and a House Speaker who turns Catholicism on its head. Lording over all of this, as he stands tonight in the Parthenon, will be the Anointed One. They should have everyone don togas, so they can, upon his command, bow before him.

This is what social relativism provides with repect or disrespect to values. It feeds on peoples tolerance to fear and emotional time entropy. That event is in the past regardless of how right or wrong. It thrives on the social intellect of "If there was reason for it, it can be forgiven" and the legal mentality of "then it was justified" and becomes a precedence. Why else would we internationalize U.S. habeas corpus. Citizen of the U.S., citizen of the world, terroists of the U.S., terrorists of the world, whats the difference? Eventually our values will become so diffused that we won't even know the original purpose of the law or in our case the Constitution.

My generation (boomers) in the '60s embraced everything that was new. We lacked the sophistication to separate the bad from the good and the impractical from the practical. We could not say "NO". Those of us who left that crowd are today known as conservatives. Those who remain behind are known as Democrats, with Republicans somewhere in between.

I'm surprised that no one has noticed that Obama is the deus ex machina that rises up from the floor to solve all the problems in this most recent of Greek Tragedies. "The Latin phrase "deus ex machina" comes to English usage from Horace's Ars Poetica, where he instructs poets that they must never resort to a god from the machines to solve their plots. He is referring to the conventions of Greek tragedy, where a mechane (crane) was used to lower actors playing a god or gods onto the stage. The machine referred to in the phrase could be either the crane employed in the task, the calque from the Greek "ἀπὸ μηχανῆς θεός" apó mēchanēs theós, (pronounced in Ancient Greek IPA: [aˈpo mɛːkʰaˈnɛːs tʰeˈos]), or a riser that brought a god up from a trap door." (From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deus_ex_machina):

So the baton is passed from the dope smoking crowd to the cocaine snorting crowd. Clinton was a big "hit" with the Hollywood crowd and I am sure Obama will have the same crowd "lining" up too. Of course Sharon will not be around to show her support to anyone. Perhaps Bernardine can stand in for her. She can change her fork salute to a knuckle punch.

Wow. I've heard of guilt-by-association, but trying to tie Obama to the purported crimes of some 60s radical when he was just eight years old really is over the top. Sen. Obama's association with Ayers, such as it is, or was, had nothing to do with any kind of criminal behavior and attempts to tar him with that brush arn't going to work. ANd exactly how is Sen. Obama a "radical"? Is it because he favors getting out of Iraq? Is it because he favor's univeral health insurance for all Americans? Which is it? Pruden doesn't say. No, he just says Sen. Obama is a "radical". Anyway, last I looked most Americans want out of Iraq and most are in favor of some sort of universal health insurance. So where's the radical? Makes you wonder what planet Pruden lives on. Altair IV, maybe? He certainly doesn't live on Earth.

CWG40-You just don't get it do you. Who you choose to associate with DOES reflect on you. Nobama had to be just as familiar with the nutcase Ayres as he was with Rev. Wright. If you cannot see the relevance of this, you should keep your flawed opinions to yourself. As far as NObama being a radical, his voting record (small as it is) speaks for itself.

The "radical" intimation has to do with more than just "B"'s hanging around with known and unrepentant terrorists (who should have been put to death for their crimes as should ALL terrorists)but with the fact that he is backed by George Soros, and all of his rabid left wing groups such as Moveon.org. Socialism uses many false fronts, most of which we knew in the past as evil - Nazism, Communism, Fascism, etc. Do we now need to add "Democrat" to that list? If the two BB Boys aren't willing to stand up and say they don't want support from these groups, then they don't deserve consideration for the highest offices in our land. Neither I, nor any sensible American Citizen would willingly vote to elect a SOCIALIST president of this country, especially one whose associations with other radical socialists ("A rose by any other name is still a rose") clearly calls "B"'s judgement into question.
