Income declined as inflation remained robust in July

I have not heard of anyone that I know getting a pay cut. It would be nice if the article explained just how personal income is calculated. I assume it declined because of the stimulus checks but the article does not explicity say so. That is, income was down because no checks were sent out and cashed, in which case there would have been a jump in personal income when the checks were sent out and cashed. In that case, this is not really news.
