It's time for Opollobama and good old boy Joe to come down from Mt. Washington, D.C. and attend a country fair. There are people out there that won't be spending the "stimulus" on $600 diamond earrings.

I wasn't going to vote ...too boring. But with Sarah Palin, you can't keep me from voting. Any woman who shoots an M-16 like a pro, eats mooseburgers, has a son in the military, cleans the clock of long time hack politicans and is one tough mama ...well I'm going to vote for her. Biden better call in sick during the debate. Sarah makes Obama and Biden look like the hack politicans they are. Wow.

It should be interesting. Slick, mouthy, metrosexual Joe up against a woman who could (and would) shoot the eyes out of a terrorist at 200 yards with her 30-06. McCain has put together a ticket that is tough, rugged, and individualistic. It matches our DNA. Which of the following stupids is the election about? (1) Its the economy, stupid. (2) Its the war, stupid. (3) Its the terrorism, stupid. (4) Its the diversity, stupid. (5) Its the culture, stupid. Its not a stupid question.

It takes the Democrats to think that Obama's background of un-elected street organizer (a street organizer compared to a VP select City Mayor)is superior to that of a elected position subject to recall. Why must all our leaders be hot shot lawyers? Washington wasn't. Jefferson wasn't. Ben Franklin wasn't. Yet all handled leadership and foreign policy well. Biden has been on the public dole for 36 years, raising his salary often only by voice vote. He has been part of the excessive spending problem with our representative form of government. He believes he should take our money and then for us which we are "unable or unwilling to do for ourselves." Then he decides what to do for others with our money... Yeah slam a true "representative of the people" chosen from within the people "by the people." We need fewer lawyers like Obama/Biden and more representatives of real people like Palin. How obama got from little street guy to first home buyer of a $1.3 million home is obvious--he used his street talents to engage ever local charleton, crook and radical pastor to form his support group and advisory team. I think the choice of Palin sets a fine example of McCann's ability to lead the way for real improvements for America.

She may have run a small town and a low population state but Nobama can't even run his campaign. 3 different responses, repudiated staffs. His only qualification as an executive is as a community agitator, er activist.

Yeah, I think it's telling that the Democrat Party is dissing a woman who is more qualified than B.O. to be President on the basis of her credentials and experience (to say nothing of character). They have to watch it. And she's not running at the top of the ticket. And I thought Obama's slogan was "Change You Can Believe In"--well, the first woman VP Candidate from the Republican Party is a Change. While B.O.'s pick for VP is a tired, backroom, dirty, Business-as-Usual insider from Washington with Hair Plugs. That difference is all you need to know, folks. Where's the Change we can believe in, B.O.? You are lying to us.

Obama's campaign wasn't the only one "caught off guard" by McCain's pick for VP. If this is the kind of successor planning McCain has for the oval office, then what kind of vision does he have for the nation? I'll have to reconsider Bob Barr from the Libertarian party. At least he's younger than McCain and will be able to serve out 4 years. I can't vote for Palin as the 2nd in command - and likely 1st in command given McCain's age and health.

Never mind the details, they're not that important. This stuff is all background noise. KEEP YOUR MINDS FOCUSED ON THE BIG PRIZE that will affect this country for decades - 2 or 3 Supreme Court justices!! Vote to ensure a pro-life, pro-2nd Amendment, pro-strong foreign policy, pro-low taxes, pro-American President is elected - John McCain!

So Obama disdains both small towns and small states too. I wonder how he defines a "small town" and a "small state"? Perhaps Obama believes small states are filled with people who cling to their guns and religion just like people in small towns. And here comes Sarah Palin from a small town and a small state and she fits his description to a tee. I wonder how Obama feels about having to share the national stage with Palin who appears to be exactly one of those people Obama thinks he is so superior to. Has Obama decided to "ignore" her because she is not even worthy of his consideration? I think its obvious why Obama has quickly backed off the initial attack. It's not because he doesn't make personal attacks (which it was and he did). It's because when it comes down to it she has as much expericence and even more than Obama. Obama and supporters are left to try and compare her foreign policy exertise to that of Biden. But Obama picked Biden precisely because Obama is serverely lacking in foreign policy experience. Comparing Palin and Biden in this regard just highlights the obvious - that Obama simply cannot compare to McCain in this area. So Democrats are unwittingly making McCain's case for him. Obama was not smart enough to realize that right away but he has now figured it out. Obama has no Palin strategy yet. When he figures one out he won't ignore her any longer.

Small towns? 90% if the citizens of this great nation live is small towns. Talk about disconnected with reality. I think the vast majority of people in America will come to the conclution that the Democrats have again chosen a pair of real loosers as their candidates. There will always be that number however that will vote democratic no matter who is running. If someone were to place Fidel Castro on the Democratic ticket , he'd get their vote. "Guns and Religion" , I think they go great together. SDindedendent: You have something against POW's ? If we don't drill for Oil you just may become a POW. ( Pilgrim On Welfare ).

Judging from the several loony left non-substantive comments below, the Demorats are scared witless about the pick of Gov. Palin. As a lifelong Republican male, my advice to Gov. Palin is "go girl"! She was an outstanding choice and I will be proud to vote for Senator McCain and her.

The Obamachine is in fact terrified. A quick scan of chat rooms across the political spectrum will show two things: 1) Approval of McCain's choice is high among the base, and more than a few independents, especially women, are impressed. 2) Obamatons by the hundreds are online in a frantic effort to dampen the enthusiasm with a scripted set of denigrating talking points, including ugly rumors concerning her family, which I will not repeat. This is obviously just the beginning. The Little Red Guard doesn't realize yet how insulting their lobotomized, pre-packaged rants are becoming to ordinary Americans. What an interesting week this will be.

hipshot: This is a Commander-In-Chief election. We can't afford to elect a president who would not be able to enter the military as a private due to his inability to pass a security clearance for associating with domestic terrorist William Ayers. After 9/11, we would be foolish to elect a man who studied the Koran at a Wahabi school in Jakarta. Wahabism is the radical teaching followed by the terrorists who are waging Jihad against the Western world. The star struck, American Idol watchers fail to understand that election of Barack Hussein Obama would essentially be a Muslim takeover of the White House.

I guess Nobama is now getting closer to being toast. The Demorats should now focus on the House and Senate. Oh, wait, American citizens are now gunning for them because of their support for Pelosi, the wicked witch of the west and Reid, the hack from Nevada because of their arrogant stands on domestic energy production. OOPS! How to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
