SENATOR Obama's pursuit of the Commander in Chief image is out of control. He has no idea and NO EXPERIENCE of the complexities of fighting a war. A Commander in Chief DOES NOT tell his military leaders how to fight a war. President Johnson and McNamara stuck their noses in the Vietnam War and we ended up with war that Admiral Sharp stated clearly as a Strategy for Defeat. Obama has neither the experience or the knowledge to advise General Petraeus. Linear thinking and acting may provoke global chaos, although we locally act with the best intentions." - Klaus Mainzer – Thinking in Complexity The learning curve in combat is high and so are the casualties.

If Obama is mistakenly elected president it will be chaos---just like his campaign. It will all be for show, but his decisions are bad, half-baked, and not thought out. He will send the country and the world into chaos and disorder. Maybe that's his intention, but he must not be given the chance.

Only an idiot Commander would override his military leaders, especially one who seems to have run from US military service his whole life like B.O. This is a man who only has one thing to promote---his own AUDACITY. Mr. Audacity does it again by playing "Commander In Chief" when he has never been commander of anything, never shown leadership (only cowardice), hidden behind the "present" button, has crooks and terrorists for business partners, and lies through his teeth about everything from his citizenship (Indonesian), religion (Muslim on his school records),his position on Iraq, his connections to Marxists, position on the surge, and much much more. This man has no more "Commander" in him than Benedict Arnold had loyalty. He needs to peel some potatoes for the military brass's dinner and learn some humility and honesty.

Obama was and is a fool for his recommendations. It shows that he advocated surrender in Iraq. In fact the War in Iraq is over, and America has won. Check the news, there has been no reports of Muslims killing Muslims in weeks. US casualties are at historically low levels, Insurgent Armies have been disbanded, And Muslims factions have signed fatwa's promising to keep peace and fight alQueda. The job now is up to Iraqis to keep the peace that Americans have suffered and died to provide them.

I wonder where B. Hussein Obama studied military tactics and strategy. He surely must have studied and excelled in them to suggest to a 4 star general how he should conduct military operations. Obama may have learned military tactics from Bill Ayers in Chicago when Obama was a 'community activist'. This is the same guy who wants to be president yet will not submit to questioning from Fox News because the questions might be too hard. We should feel really comfortable with Obama in charge.

Obama---An individual with narcissistic personality disorder exhibits extreme self-importance, inability to empathize with others and heightened sensitivity to criticism. Self-involvement and lack of empathy characterize this personality disorder. People with narcissistic personality disorder are frequently perfectionists and need to be the center of attention, receiving affection and admiration, and controlling the situation. To get the attention he craves, he may try to create crises that return the focus to him. This person places entitlement issues at the fore. He feels that the world owes him, regardless of whether he makes a contribution. Alcohol and other drugs (AOD) use may trigger or aggravate a personality disorder.A person with a personality disorder frequently uses AODs to relieve his symptoms: to raise self-esteem, decrease feelings of guilt and amplify feelings of diminished individuality. Narcissistic personality disorder often leads to use of drugs, particularly stimulants like cocaine.

SDinependent was exactly correct but not in the way the comment was intended. Nobama's meeting with General Petraeus shows why he is "unfit for command" and would be a disaster and danger to the U.S.

Obama has to mature in his thought processes on Iraq and terrorism in general. From Obama's comments, we are asked to accept that al-Qaida, with recognized terrorist affiliates in more than 60 Nations, had no discernible presence in a hub of world terrorism, I.e. Saddam Hussein’s Iraq! For years, Saddam gave sanctuary in Baghdad to both Abu Nidal and Abul Abbas, who prior to the emergence of bin Laden, were two of the world’s most notorious terrorist operatives. Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who was an al-Qaida affiliate in Afghanistan, where he commanded a terrorist training camp in the production and deployment of chemical agents, was also provided sanctuary in Baghdad in 2002, along with a cadre of his lieutenants; and, extended medical treatment was given to Zarqawi for injuries that he had received in a U.S. air-strike against his base camp. Zarqawi then transitioned to Northern Iraq and integrated with the the al-qaida affiliate, the Ansar al-Islam extremists, a terrorist organization that Hussein had permitted to operate under the supervision of a senior Iraqi intelligence agent. A group that, with Iraqi compliance, had constructed an extensive underground chemical weapons facility. By claiming that he had no control over his Northern sector, Hussein created plausible deniability with willing dupes such as Obama in the event poisonous toxins, such as the ricin attacks in Europe, were traced back to the al-Islam enclave. Of course, we all know that Saddam gassed the Kurds who occupied the same sector when they deviated from his agenda. Further, overhead reconnaissance had verified multiple terrorist training sites within the interior of Iraq, to include an aircraft hi-jacking training facility. As well, Hussein openly funded Palestian homicide bombers who carried out attacks against Israel thru their Hamas and Hezbola initiators; and, dispersed Iraqi agents throughout the world who have been documented to have had numerous contacts with al-Qaida operatives. Recall that it was Saddam who blatantly attempted to assassinate the 1st President Bush. Can there be any doubt that Saddam would have surreptitiously provided dangerous toxins to disparate terrorist organizations who were in pursuit of his common objectives! A conclusion given emphasis by the recent Pentagon Report which found that although no DIRECT OPERATIONAL relationship could be established between Saddam and al-Qaeda: "Saddam collaborated with known al-Qaeda affiliates and a wider constellation of Islamist terror groups." ; and, "This report is damming to those who doubted Saddam's involvement with Jihadist terrorist groups. It DEVASTATES one of the central myths plaguing our government prior to 9/11, that a Jihadist group would not cooperate with a secular regime and vice versa." It has become clear that Obama does not have the maturity to integrate such facts into his dangerously limited thought process? Greg Neubeck _________________

Why was this discussion taking place? Barack Obama hasn't the status in this world to polish the boots of General Petraeus.

pendamon; Agree with your assesment of Hussein 100%. People with his personality disorder are incapable of delegating responsibility. Carter being a case in point. Carter was a disaster when he tried to micromanage the hostage rescue mission in Iran. Do we need another like him in these dangerous times.

WGF1811 - I want to be the first to predict that Obama will be on Fox News. Obama will appear with no preconditions to discuss a whole reange of issues. I know Obama will do this because I have secret inside knowledge that Ahmadinejad will be a guest host on Bill O'Reilly's show. Soxconn - I have to disagree with you. The CIC certainly can tell the military how and when to fight a war. FDR directed the military to concentrate and win the war against Germany and then turn to Japan. This did not go over well because of Pearl Harbor but it is how we approached WWII militarily. That being said I assume your point is that we don't need another LBJ.

FDR directed two front strategies, the politics, the funding and the support for the campaign's, he didn't tell Eisenhower or Patton or Bradley or Nimitz how fight the war. He didn't devise Nimitz Island hopping campaign or make the decision on D-Day shift or brigades around or recommend it. He simply gave the strategy, the objective and the support and worked the politics with Churchill and Stalin, AS PRESIDENT. Johnson had his own model of Vietnam in the White House war room and determined when and where to bomb through campaigns like Rolling Thunder. McNamara, one Kennedy's whiz kids thought he could win with body count measure of effectiveness. The grunt in the field figured out to get around that in heartbeat. Permission wasn't given to mine the Haiphong harbors or destroy infrastructure until it was too late. Read Admiral Sharps book.

Mr. Audacity is right on. Just when I think he can't be any more narcissistic, he tops himself again. He is not in a position YET to be commanding our troups, and God willing, he never will be.

"He lied about Iraq and anyone that denies this fact is a fool.We should have stayed focused on who caused 9/11 instead he starts a useless war.He is a simple minded man that had no business being president of the USA.History will record him as dim-witted and possessing a very low IQ." Actually, Bill O'Reilly announced last night that Mr. Audacity will indeed be a guest on his show. I can hardly wait.
