Mr. Wallace, good luck trying to reason with a bunch of crackpot lefties using facts and logic. Even Opie has gone off the deep end. Floyd the Barber is rolling over in his grave.

When you have to defend Bush to even Opie you know that history is going to favor Bush. When the red haired step child finally gets in on kicking the guy on the floor you know its time to take the opposite view.

Dont confuse the Dems with the facts, their minds were made up years ago.

These people have terminal Bush Derangement Syndrome, so Chris Wallace was talking to the wall. Why even bother to reason with terrorist- coddling, self-satisfied, left wing jerks like this bunch?

Mr. Dallek continues to discredit himself as a credible historian with his patently partisan comments as POLITICAL events are occurring, without the passage of time necessary for them to fully gestate and evolve in a historical context from which sound, measured, objective analysis can be developed. Mr. Dallek has done this on other occasions in the past eight years, rendering his judgement and insights as a historian no more relevant than Sean Hannity's or Keith Olbermann's. True, he is a bit more decourous than those two hacks, but no less partisan. Perhaps it is a good development for the practice of history that he is revealing himself as a commentator rather than a historian. No longer will I purchase his books and I hope others interested in a balanced, clear-eyed view will treat his tomes with similar suspicion and disregard.

"It's just as Ron says. We've been, back in the past eight years, through this anguish about an imperial presidency," ....Oh just wait. The "other" side has the exact same feelings about Obama. I guess the shoe is on the other foot.

Opie, You spent way too much time in Mayberry. It now seems that if you ever have an original thought, it dies of loneliness. Get off the lib express and try to relate to the real world, Mayberry only lives on ancient reruns on TV. Best, Goober

What Bush did was far worse than Nixon. Nixon authorized simple felonies to protect his political skin. Bush illegally invaded another sovereign nation to enrich his friends, placing hundreds of thousands of serviceman and women needlessly at risk for monetary reasons. Not to mention sacrificing the good name of or beloved country. Don't fool yourselves into believing Bush was trying to protect America, if that was his goal he would have acted on the August 2001 memo entitled "Bin Ladin Determined to Strike in US". Instead he ignored it, and thus failed in his duty to protect our nation. The fact that any of you are attempting to defend Bush shows how blind to the truth you are. How can you defend a man who has failed in almost everything he attempted to accomplish as President?

Good for Wallace. Bush has committed no crimes, although I've been disappointed in a couple of his decisions. History will be kind to him, if it is objective.

I'm disappointed in Ron Howard. Too often, the liberal actors and directors give us their political opinions and they deserve the boycott to their craft. They forget that this country has two parties and thereby cut their nose to spite their face. Ron Howard can go pound sand and I for one will not see his films again.

Facts, who needs facts. Metaphors are much better than facts.

Another ENTERTAINER who thinks the audience values his opinion. WE DON'T! Grow up Opie and do your job. Entertain us and then shut up.

If you think Nixon and Bush were bad, look at Lincoln. Not only did he fail to end slavery peacefully, as was done in every Western European nation, but he also jailed thousands without habeas corpus. Since Jefferson, maybe Madison, it has been all downhill.

Where's Opie's movie about Bill Clinton? Bill Clinton routinely abused the office of President for political or personal gain. Oh that's right! He's a Democrat and they can be excused for anything. But if a Republican is caught doing something remotely questionable he's Adolf Hitler reincarnated! It will be found in some far off time that Bill Clinton's policies invited 9/11 terrorist attacks on the U.S. by making us appear weak in the eyes of the terrorist dogs during his eight years in office. Obama is on course to do the same thing in only four years. God help us.

Ron Howard has simply had too much Kool Aid splashed on him as he wandered through Hollywood over the years. He's not a bad guy - just a little misguided.
