All I can say about Vermont.....NUTS!!!!!

I second that motion. This is the state that gave a pedophile 60 days in jail because it wanted the dirtbag to have more time to get therapy. Brattleboro --- what an arrogant, ridiculous little place. Apparently, making sure the road potholes were filled, and that the local dogcatcher's salary was being paid weren't enough for the town elders. Don't you just love it when a municipality makes some preposterous, absurdly meaningless resolution on geopolitics about which most of them know absolutely nothing?

We are all hoping Bush and Cheney visit Vermont SOON. In the meantime did you all see the article today in the HuffingtonPost.com ??? About Rep. Dennis Kucinich? Angry Kucinich Reminds Obama He Was Rival http://www.huffingtonpost.com/andy-borowitz/angry-kucinich-reminds-ob_b_148113.html Kucinich wants to be Obama's Postmaster General ( that, after impeachers fought to get him re-elected) Those of us who contributed to his re-election and presidential campaigns are more than a little irritated that Kucinich is fawning over Obama to get a job as Postmaster General when he should be doing the job he has... filing impeachment resolutions in the US House in the lame duck session in December. What is going on... Dennis??? ..

Why are people stupid! Why would you even make a big deal about this. I don't care how bit of an illuminati you are this does you no good! Other than getting you a little media cover for your other wise no-name town. Nobody is going to arrest Bush, that's for sure.

As much as Vermont despises Bush, why would they want him to visit? Perhaps they still want to arrest him symbolically. Instead of doing their job, the Congress did same thing with the "make their point" and blame initiatives they passed against Bush while the real issues like immigration and the economy were festering because Waxman and his oversight committee were focused on investigating everything Bush did. Vermont just wants to make a name for itself and take one more politically correct jab at President Bush while he is in office.

Brattleboro citizens need to get a reality check. Parnoids who are ignorant. They might prefer living in the Tribal Areas of Pakistan. The jerky idea that prisoners of war are held in Gitmo shows how absurd and divorced they are from the real world. Maybe they want to provide a safe haven for those poor suffering lads in Gitmo. There are too many paranoids in Vermont.

"And I do think that it will be uncomfortable some time down the road when he's sitting around the Thanksgiving table or the Christmas table with his family and his grandchildren and one of them says to him, 'Grandpa, why was Vermont the only state that you never visited?'" ___________________________________ This kind of arrogance and stupidity is incredible, but perhaps it is more common in Vermont. Why would anyone make a point of knowing, caring, or talking about such a trivial matter? If anything, Vermont could now serve well as the butt of jokes about the self-importance of a gnat or other such miniscule creatures. This is sad, and it may be a testament to the consequences of inbreeding, listening to NPR, or perhaps the anti-Wal*Mart bigotry. I doubt that much of Vermont was like this before these influences.

Maybe someone should provide Al Queda with a Mapquest to Battleboro.

Sad thing is about this... The native Vermonters aren't the ones pushing for this crap. It's the "immigrants" from Mass, Conn, RI, and NY who came to the state, got into some positions of power and are trying to impose their version of utopia on primarily dairy farmers and those who wish to be left alone. It's too bad these ass-hats in Brattleboro don't feel there are more important things to work on right now that would have a meaningful impact on their society...but they'd rather just pat themselves on the back and make a name for themselves by doing something as useless as indicting the Pres & VP...What a joke they are.

Maybe they should change the name of the town to "Prattleboro"

Good for you Mr. President! Aside from maple syrup, and some pretty leaves at times, the Peoples Republic of Vermont has nothing to offer.

I am very familiar with Brattleboro. The people who live there are whacked. The place is a filthy mess and the government is as dysfunctional as I've ever seen. There are no redeeming qualities about that town.

Did you hear that the Vermont governor's mansion caught fire during the last Democratic governor's term? They were afraid it was going to take the entire trailer park with it.

It would be way more appropriate if Brattleboro's Selectboard was tried for treason. The Constitution doesn't limit the President from interring suspected terrorists in Guantamamo or anywhere else. And while most people have never served in the military and don't understand the difference in legitimate armed combatants in a declared war and terrorists there is a legal difference made even in the Geneva convention. They need to watch what their Messiah B. Obama does with Guantamamo Bay and those interred there now that he and his staff are finally realizing the people detained there are REALLY REALLY bad guys...

RDH

I'm sure that on Inaguration Day that this same town will hand out indictments for Obama too. They should probably indict now since he voted for the wire-tapping bill. If Obama wants to let the Gitmo guys go to avoid indictment and war-crimes trials, it seems to me that Brattleboro would be a logical place to drop them off.
