Irate

The numbers are suspect. Are they actual job losses or do they include PREDICTIONS job layoffs? For example, companies x, y and z announce layoffs of so many thousands over the next several months. Those people are NOT without jobs yet. To imply that those people still working, and may not in the end be laid off, are now unemployed helps with the self-fulfilling prophecy of doom the media engages in every day.

Irate, these are accurate totals of jobs lost in November, not projections of several months forward. There is no such measure of possible job losses. Here is the US Dept of Labors' official release.... http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.nr0.htm
