EDITORIAL: Chertoff and the Illegals 12/12/08 Given that the Bush administration has done everything in its power to avoid discharging the first duty of the federal government--guarding the nation's borders; and that the Congress and the Bush administration, in cobbling together the Department of Homeland Security, established possibly the most-incompetent cabinet department ever created; why, then, would anybody be even slightly surprised to learn that the company which cleans Secretary Chertoff's home employed illegal aliens to do so? Why would any of the supposedly-responsible people involved possibly care, one way or the other?

The reason Homeland Security was established was to provide a means to 'punish and harass' the stinking peasants - aka American Citizens. By the way, does anyone have the figures on the actual dollar value of the stuff the HS 'gang' has stolen from air traveller's checked baggage?

One person comes to mind - Mitt Romney. Looks like Chertoff was in the same position...but your right. Why did it take the secret service so long to catch up to this. This makes me feel less secure. There is a lot of illegal immigration news coming from the blogs that talks about the state of Colorado alone spends over a billion dollars for illegal immigrants.
