STOP THE INVASION!!! UNITED STATES BORDER APPREHENSIONS (Source DHS/CBP) 1987--1,190,488------1995--1,394,554------2003----931,557 1988--1,008,145------1996--1,649,986------2004--1,160,395 1989----954,243------1997--1,412,953------2005--1,189,075 1990--1,169,939------1998--1,555,776------2006--1,089,902 1991--1,197,875------1999--1,579,010------2007----876,704 1992--1,258,482------2000--1,676,438------2008----723,825 1993--1,327,259------2001--1,266,213------2009----(beginning 10/01) 1994--1,094,717------2002----955,310 FACT: In the last 22 years, over 26 million illegals, have been apprehended, after crossing the border, into our United States. THE PROBLEM IS: Less than 1, out of 4 illegals, are estimated to have been apprehended, meaning that 3, out of 4, illegals successfully entered our United States. According to the U.S. Immigration Service another 6 million illegals in our country are visa overstays. That is, they got a visa legally in their home country, they came here to visit and then they never left. In the last 22 years, there have been another 4 million anchor babies born to illegals. Anchor babies are now being born at a rate of 350-400 thousand per year in our United States. All at our expense!! Then the ANCHOR BABIES qualify for welfare, food stamps, section-8 housing, all at our expense. American Taxpayers are getting screwed, over, and over, and over, again!!! Each illegal immigrant, on average, costs taxpayers $9,000 PER YEAR, over, and above, anything they might contribute in taxes!!! A total cost to American taxpayers of over 300 billion dollars each, and every, year.

If you want to see the effects of illiterate criminals sneaking across the border, check out: fresnobee.com Our daily news is just packed with gang activity, drive-by shootings, pregnant teens, failing students and HS dropouts, so-called poverty, people who can't or won't speak English, drunks, unlicensed-uninsured-unregisters drivers, single mothers with numerous kids all with different last names and all on social programs, overcrowded schools and prisons, abused-dumped- murdered babies, $11 BILLION STATE BUDGET DEFICIT, and a host of other problems. This is all due to illegal aliens and the previous amnesties.

Nice try…but I'm not buying what you're selling. McCain lost because he's indistinguishable (except for his military service) from the Democrats he loves so much to collaborate with. He flipped the bird to what should have been his core constituency so he could do what he does best…walk the line his advisors have told him will keep him in office (or enable him to attain higher office.) Well guess what, Frank? His advisors have their heads UA just like McCain does. So he lost. And he deserved to lose. With Oba-Wan we KNOW what we're getting: hard left socialist big government oligarch. Thanks for the warning, Obama. Strip off whatever skin these guys are wearing for the moment and you'll find lizards underneath in almost every case. We tried to send a message to McCain, Lindsey Graham, and the rest of this bunch, but their ears were slammed shut. Convinced they could garner enough Hispanic votes to win if they said just the right things, and arrogantly assuming that Reagan conservatives like me would grudgingly support them for lack of a better alternative, they went down in flames. The world hates a cynic. And McCain, Lindsey Graham, and the rest of this bunch are extremely calculating and cynical. What we want is a Tom Tancredo or a Duncan Hunter. What we need is a Thomas Sowell or a Walter E. Williams. What do we get? Obama and McCain. Some choice, huh? Makes me want to vomit. You guys really should get out more, Frank. Maybe you don't realize how bad it's getting out here. Maybe because illegal immigrants aren't lining up to take the jobs of American scribblers or senators you can't sympathize with the millions of citizen drywallers or meat cutters who used to pay their mortgages by building our houses and processing our protein. Maybe in YOUR neighborhood every gas station or convenience store that closes down doesn't open up the next week as a tortilleria with a fluorescent pink paint job and hand painted Mexican language signs on the windows. Maybe where YOU live our unique American culture is still pretty much intact and diversity means you car pool with a black guy and a Paki. Looks a little different from my angle. I'm sure that the government of Greece was caught flat-footed when a seemingly insignificant event tipped their population over the edge. They were out of touch too. Maybe they get it NOW. The line between grudging acceptance of government corruption and sudden explosive insurrection is thinner than you might think. Keep scribbling, Frank. Rome's not burning, but it's smoldering.

I don’t buy Frank Sharry’s claims that Americans are clamoring to give amnesty to illegal aliens. The overwhelming desire is to rid the country of illegal aliens and persecute those who try to give them jobs. This was true before even before unemployment went up and is even more true now. If the Democrats try to pursue amnesty they will not only be opposed by non Democrats but many of the traditional Democratic factions, such as labor unions will oppose them as well.

Mr. Sharry, a well-known open borders advocate, is wrong on this issue. He is peddling more of the same: mass amnesty for millions of illegal aliens tied in with alleged enforcement. We tried this in 1986 and it failed. What occured was the mass amnesty but no enforcement. This is why the vast majority of Americans rejected the Bush/Kennedy/McCain amnesty bill in June 2007. In this very poor economy with 10 million Americans out of work and 533,000 losing their jobs in November alone, the LAST thing Americans need or want is another mass amnesty. This is why a Rasmussen poll just released shows that "74% of U.S. voters continue to believe the federal government is not doing enough to secure the country's borders," and that "63% of voters say gaining control of the border is more important than legalizing the status of undocumented workers in the country." The cost-effective, humane, and true middle-ground way to solve this problem is by attrition through enforcement, whereby if our laws our consistently enforced, the majority of illegal aliens will return to their homelands over time. Botton line: Americans still reject "comprehensive immigration reform" a/k/a amnesty. We want our laws enforced with no form of any amnesty.

There is no doubt that this illegal immigration has caused more problems that anyone could have ever imagined. These problems WILL NOT go away until each and every ILLEGAL ALIEN is out of this Country and back in their own country where they belong. Then you have these so called activist groups that want AMNESTY for these ILLEGAL ALIENS. It would be absolute suicide for this Country if AMNESTY were granted to the 20 million or so ILLEGAL ALIENS. We have more and more people out of work every day and you want to add another 20 million to this Country? I say, "NO"! If AMNESTY were ever granted to these 20 million ILLEGAL ALIENS, you can bet big money that 3 years from now, there would be ANOTHER 3-5 million ILLEGAL ALIENS demonstrating on our soil for AMNESTY. I don't wish to lose my privilege on this site, so I will refrain from using the words that fit here. I believe it is time for all 50 States to pass a State law, like Arizona, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Missouri, South Carolina and a few others. It is time for these ILLEGAL ALIENS to go back to their home Country and get out of this Country. The problems they are causing will not go away until the ILLEGAL ALIENS are out of here. I think that is plain to see. NO ILLEGAL ALIEN HAS A RIGHT TO BE IN THIS COUNTRY FOR ANY REASON! CLEAR ENOUGH?

Frank Sharry is a Marxist, and well known in immigration reform circles. Go to AmericanPatrol dot com, and do a search on this guy. It will open your eyes.

Frank Sharry is clueless!! The majority in this country---Dems, Inds, and Reps---do NOT want to reward the illegal invaders with any form of amnesty. The MAJORITY in this country want the border closed, the illegals forced to leave---by taking away their ability to get jobs, welfare, WIC, foodstamps, education benefits, health care benefits, etc.---and our laws enforced. The remaining illegals need to be rounded up, arrested, and deported back to their own countries---where they can apply and wait in line just like the millions of other people around the world who are trying to come to the US through the legal, proper process.
Mark as offensive

Bren

GET INVOLVED NOW!! We must stop all/any attempts at amnesty!! The illegal invaders and their supporters plan on storming Washington the day after Obama takes office, to DEMAND rights/benefits that they are not entitled to. If the 20+ million illegals are given amnesty, they will then be able to bring in millions more of their family members through chain migration. Then, think of the number of kids that they will have on US soil. Then, with their increased numbers, they will take over our politics/elections---giving themselves more and more rights/benefits in OUR country!! What is going to be left for you?? Your kids?? Your grandkids?? Join thousands of US citizens by joining these sites/forums NOW!! www.numbersusa.com www.minutemanhq.com www.americanpatrol.com www.saveourstate.org

Migrating to America legally is, and should be, a long, drawn-out procedure meant to protect the interests of American citizens. It involves more than simply jumping a fence and heading north in pursuit of free health care, education, food stamps, and other handouts paid for by U.S. taxpayers. Legal immigration means enduring rigorous hurdles like background checks to detect a criminal background or possible ties to terrorists; medical examinations to detect diseases still prevalent in third-world nations, but long since eradicated here; proof of financial solvency so as to prevent newcomers from becoming a burden on U.S. taxpayers, and testing for knowledge of American history and English skills. Those who have jumped a fence into America in order to avoid our immigration checks are not immigrants. Rather, they are invading criminals, with no claim whatsoever to the welcome mat extended to legal immigrants.
