Mr. Pruden - I want to commend you on your article. In this time of strife, stress, worry, and fear, your article brings back to what is really important - Jesus came into this world to save us from our sins. We have gotten to far away from the true meaning of Christmas. Thank you again for your article.
Every year I feel the true meaning of Christmas is lost. Then Mr. Pruden shares the wonderful story of John Newton and I am reminded that my faith in Christmas is as everlasting as the love my savior has for me.
Here's a creche course in the true meaning of Christmas:

How refreshing to hear about the life-changing TRUTH John Newton found in Jesus Christ. What John Newton experienced is available to everyone today-God's amazing grace through the person and work of our Savior-Jesus Christ. The message of salvation is always timely and relevant. THIS IS THE REAL NEWS! Newton's testimony reminded me of a powerful stanza from Charles Wesley's hymn, "And Can It Be."
"Long my imprisoned spirit lay, fast bound in sin and nature's night;
Thine eye diffused a quickening ray;
I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose went forth and followed Thee." Christ came to pay a debt He didn't owe, because we owed a debt we could not pay.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
Didn't he also discover the Fig Newton?
A powerful story and beautiful hymn. I am Jewish and first heard this hymn from my first wife who is Christian. I never knew the story behind the lyrics, but it speaks to all people who find their G-d.
Mr. Pruden
Thank you for being a light in th edarkness.
