CANNON: Avoiding health-care chaos

Obama and advisors are smart politicians and savvy in the ways of DC. They will include health care in the stimulus. The easiest way to pass it is to simply delegate to Daschle the implementation details with funding and vague directives in the stimulus bill. Congress delegates detail things all the time. Just read the rules and regulations of the Federal Government sometime which are now measured in feet of shelf space. Congress will do "fine tuning" to benefit their special interest groups in 2010 or later. The really stupid thing politically would be to try to pass a detailed health care plan. They tried and failed. It won't happen again. Daschle has mostly stated this and tipped their hand. Readers of the Washington Times should be familiar with how Daschle would implement national health care. Only 24 days to paradise! Still time to get that colonoscopy!

They should call it 'Health Care for Friends'. If you have the power to decide who gets health care and who does not, friends get health care and nasty people you do not like and would rather they died anyway, do not.
