Kirk Bowman thank you for making sense. Your words are supported by the majority of citizens in America, Cubans and everyone around the world. Ideally, President-Elect Barack Obama will follow through on his promise to transform Cuban policies. I had the pleasure of personally speaking with and giving Barack Obama a film I made in Cuba while he was campaigning in Los Angeles. I later gave fifteen copies of Cuba’s Love & Suicide, the movie to his staff in Washington, DC. Soon after President Elect Barack Obama came out publicly against the current failed U.S. policies towards Cuba. Why? He actually gets what the people want and need. Real freedom, not talked about freedom. As you and everyone who’s actually sees or goes to Cuba understands. The U.S. embargo on Cuba has only helped Castro’s Government and the U.S. Politicians who sell their votes to keep the failed 50 years of U.S. policies towards Cuba in place. Now more than ever, the majority of the population must keep ousting and exposing the minority of people who abuse our U.S. Government for their self interest. President Elect Barack Obama, please abolish the embargo in your first week of office. Luis Moro, EveryThingCuba-com. THE UNIVERSITY OF OBAMA

Bowman is probably oxygen deprived or similar when he comes up with a whopper like "Latin Americans are natural allies of the United States." They have had several hundred years to start; maybe they are waiting for Obama! Yes, that must be the answer. Maybe by the time the US gets done with Cuba, the Cuban's will have had their fill of Communism, too. We can hope.

Gitmo and Cuba are the problems? I would change the US press about Gitmo and be truthfull. It is a detention center for US military captured terrorists enemies. Our press has constantly attacked our government about it, thus they have established it as problematic. The problem is the press not Gitmo. As for Cuba, what about the communist creep into Latin and South America? Reagan had to find ways to help Nicaraguan Contras because of political elements who chose politics over stopping the spread of communism in the Western Hemisphere. This article could have been written by Chavez from the slanting of the facts. No, I do not agree that the author has found the reasons for anti Americanism in Latin and South America. He is trying another angle to convince change in those two situations.

Thank You Kirk for a little common sense. I am tired of hearing" -we don't need them. France, Germany and whoever did disagree with us on Iran, they kept saying:-We don't need them. We got the disapproval of most of the world nations on Iran. Now we are in trouble. Plus, guys like Chavez, are direct consequence of our actions; and wait for the accusations of fraud on the world market, they will be coming soon.
