Count me as one conservative who is not enthused about the prospect of another privileged Bush on the big stage lecturing about "compassion" and amnesty for illegal aliens while never experiencing first hand the negative impacts of massive illegal immigration and overpopulation.

Great. Jeb, you are more than welcome, and encouraged, to join the Senate. Please don't run for President. Let that go to a real conservative. We should have learned our lesson by now. Although they are an honorable family, the Bush's are not Conservative. They are Country Club Republicans and we don't need another one in the White House.

i have a hard time believing that jeb bush, former governor of florida, the state that contains "little havana," is ignorant to the impacts of illegal immigration and/or overpopulation.

Gov. Bush may be aware of the negative implications of illegal immigration but has never shown any interest in doing anything about it. I doubt that will change. He is an open supporter of illegal immigrants and that makes him the problem not the solution

No thanks i am a Floridian and want no part of another Bush Jeb was a lousy Governor who left Florida in debt. His my way or the highway approach to the office are identical to his Big brothers we sure dont need that NO MORE BUSHS EVER!!!!

As a Floridian I can tell you that many of us do NOT want another Bush in government ever again. Jebby was good at handing out ice but that was about it. Otherwise he had no clue on what Florida needed and he left the State in a mess. WE will be united in our quest to make sure he loses !!!

I think I'll pass on a chance at another Bush. Send more jobs overseas in outsourcing, open borders, and cut government benefits for Americans. I think Jebby is better suited for President of Mexico or Guatemala than the US Senate.

NO HE SHOULD NEVER HOLD PUBLIC OFFICE AGAIN! Jeb has raided the Floriduh treasury, left the state in disaster after the 2004 hurricanes. Many have never recovered due to his lack of leadership and unity of the victims. WHERE’S OUR MONEY JEB? Floriduh is no longer a nice place to live.

After voting Republican straight-ticket for the last 30 years, I believe it will be a very long time before I vote for another one again. I won't vote Democratic either, though. Most likely, until at least some margin of trust returns for my government again, I will most likely not vote, which is in itself, my vote. In regards to Jeb, the last I want to hear of the Bush name is when his brother gets on that helicopter and ways goodbye on 29 January 2009. On that day I am going to exhale heavily, look up at the sky, close my eyes, and just stand for a moment feeling the warmth of the sky on my face.

While I think Jeb Bush might have a chance in helping accomplish his avowed goal of dragging his party back from the precipice, help on the national level, very much would depend on how well he could divorce himself from his brother. And I see very little chance of that, unless he were to make the painful decision to tear his family apart by disavowing his brother, and it simply isn't fair to expect him to do that. After all, GW *is* his brother. But if he could find a way to distance himself without destroying his relationship with the rest of the Bush family, well, as I said, he might have a chance. But GW's tainted legacy tainted -- without regard to whether it's fair to judge GW's record as "tainted" or nor to extended that record to Jeb -- isn't his only problem: he faces being broadsided by current Governor Jindal of Louisiana, who may well be the next Obama/JFK combined for the Republican Party. I figure it's certain money Jindal isn't going to do or say anything that his opponents might try to use to connect him with President Bush the Second. But he well might try to label Jeb Bush as a "Bush III." (To be fair, I do have to say that I haven't the slightest idea what, if any, thoughts Jindal has regarding Jeb Bush.)

Read my lips, no more Bush, Kennedy, and Clinton royal families. They have brought us to ruin with their cult of personality. It is time for the Republican Party to get rid of the Rinos, Cinos (Christian in name only), and Neos. Bring back Taft, Goldwater, and Reagan. Why should the voters support a party like a Christmas present that is an empty cardboard box. We are all blood and no body. Welcome to the new BS Party (Bush Socialist Party).

No More Bush-Inc What is happening in Florida? Is anyone paying any attention down there? I just read that on Fox News Sunday that past President, George H. Bush, thinks that it would be good for all Americans if his other son, the former Governor of Florida, was President of the United States one day. Do any of you people get out? Florida, let me stir your kettle-of-fish with the femur-bone of reality. “W” just successfully closed the longest-running, most-expensive frat party in the history of the world. It was so messy afterwards that they had to hire a janitor, Barac Obama, to clean up afterwards. Now the younger Bush-brother, not to be out-done, wants to book the Whitehouse for his frat pals in eight-years. Florida, this is where you need to pay close attention. The Senate Seat that will be vacated by the Republican, Mel Martinez, is no accident. It’s a void-of-convenience for Bush, Inc. Mel is leaving it because he has been paid handsomely to step aside so Jeb can do Florida a favor. Jeb, won’t do Florida any favors. Jeb has already used Florida as a doormat to acquire untold wealth and get his brother elected. After his term as Governor was up, he took his vastly accumulated wealth from Florida’s development lobbyist back to Texas in a tractor-trailer. These same lobbyists are the ones that are responsible for turning the “Rainbow Rivera,” a once flourishing, proud south Florida community, into the “Repo Riviera.” Now, Jeb plans to use Florida as a condom to commit rape on Lady Liberty. Do the Bushes have no shame? Is anyone in Florida using his/her top three inches? Florida has always considered itself a “politically progressive state.” To that point, I have a progressive idea. Let’s “out-source” the soon to be vacant Senate Seat of Mel Martinez. “What do I mean by out-source?” you ask. If you haven’t been paying attention, let me fill you in on a frightening trend here in America. It’s called out-sourcing and politicians think it’s the best thing since no-term-limits. Let’s do unto them what they have been doing to the working class for decades. Let’s find someone over in India, Pakistan, or maybe even Mexico to sit in a “Virtual-Senate-Seat.” This Virtual-Senator couldn’t possibly be any more corrupt than an actual Senator. We can save millions by just letting the “Senator” telecommunicate from whatever country he’s in. Just think of the overhead we could save on perks alone. As a bonus, we could lease out the office space in the capital building and make enough money to pay the Senator’s salary, costing the people of Florida nothing out-of-pocket. When you consider that our Representatives only work 72-days-a-year, we may even clear a profit. Now, that’s what I call progressive political thinking and an idea whose time has come. While we’re on the subject of out-sourcing, let’s start a new political party, a grassroots movement if you will. We’ll call it the “Out-Source Party.”
