This piece forgot to mention why Obama's been silent-he was too busy posing for cheesecake photos in Hawaii-tried to put them out as paparazzi snaps, but some commentators pointed out that Obama's in a super secure, remote compound, far far far away from any unwanted cameras. After all, if someone could get close enough to snap a photo, that person could also shoot/kill. The narcissism displayed in these photos is frightening-butt shots, preening. So--yeah-he'll say something "terrific" about the Israel situation, after his facial/mani-pedi, maybe. Or maybe after his adviser polishes the script. The apologists are already making excuses for Obama's indecision/poll-taking before speaking/inexperience. Watch for a pattern.

Comments from him at this point are entirely out of line in reality. The Bush administration is still in control and if Obama thinks different of their actions he is wise to keep his mouth shut.

PARALYSIS BY ANAYSIS ALL HE HAD TO SAY WAS THAT HIS POSITION IS FULL SUPPORT TO ISRAEL AS HE SAID IN HIS CAMPAIGN OR WERE THEY JUST EMPTY WORDS?

By staying silent, Mr. Obama "is making a virtue out of necessity," By staying silent, Mr. Obama "is Not commiting himself to anything. No action no foul. Can’t get any safer than that! Give me a break. The great leader will take both sides if he can get away with it, and he will be loved for his great thoughtfulness! Less is more and he will be loved by the whole world as the One! And the Liberal Media wil wet themselves in their great joy for their great leader!

We finally have Nirvana - our first ubber-cool, bare breasted, liberal thumping Cal Coolidge. Attaboy Oba-Cal !! And there are some who say Mr. Obama has decided on just not supporting Israel and silence, after all, is action in diplomatic circles. (credit "Mr." and "some who say" to the Associated Press)

I already see a pattern to his non-response to serious matters until he gets his fingers wet and finds out which way the wind is blowing and what is in his own best interest. His writers are probably very busy writing him another lofty speech which solves nothing.

Two things with Obama's silence. First, referring back to his campaign, he promised to be everything to everyone. Secondly, he leads by committee and is waiting for a response from the HillBills. There will be no decisive statement, simply as Colin Powell said a lawyers tautology for consensus. The conflict will continue. He needs to get Lanny to "purplize" everything.

If Mr. Bush had waited and tried to reflect on a situation, the ENTIRE MSM would have slammed him mercilessly for being a "do-nothing" or not caring, etc. But, of course, the free pass for Mr. Obama is in effect...he's 'thinking his options through'...this is the kind of stuff we will be forced to suffer through for the NEXT FOUR YEARS...thanks a lot, Obamatrons, for NOTHING!

This is just how Paris Hilton would act if she was the President of the United States of America. Welcome to the American Idol Presidency, Fellow Countrymen! So how do you like 'change' thusfar?

There is a simple explanation for his silence: he is in over his head, way out of his league, and his handlers haven't told him what to say yet. Until then all we get is "I vote present" from CommunityOrganizerMan.

“On the other side of the debate, Muslim groups in the U.S. criticized Mr. Obama for not condemning Israeli actions.” Isn’t it wonderful how diversity has worked so well for America … the idea that we acknowledge and promote our citizens’ ethnic heritages, rather than assimilate into one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all? Instead we have hyphenated groups that associate and concern themselves more with their “motherlands” than they do with the United States and the issues confronting this country. What is even more distressing is that this of balkanization of America pleases some politicians to no end, allowing them to manipulate and bribe these ethnic enclaves into satisfy their own, selfish ends. These purveyors of ethnic identity politics literally ‘bank on’ the tensions created when individual groups vie for power. The fact that it destroys the unique nature and soul of the American people and leaves our society open to manipulation by foreign entities means nothing to them.

Who cares about Obama's silence when pictures of hundreds of children and women killed in the streets speak of the terrorism of the state of Israel. The whole world is silent my friend, who took action to stop the massacre?

OBAMA WAS SILENT WHEN A CONSERVATIVE PLANT ASKED HIM A TOUGH QUESTION. READ IT AT, http://stopthepresses2.blogspot.com/2008/12/conservative-plant-asks-obama-tough.html

The Palestinians will do just fine after Nobama gets into office. The US will bail them out with better rockets or at least Nobama will warn those pesky Jews that Palestinians are our friends Too. With a capital T. It's all about change.

This is the beginning of a very long list of things Obama can not run away from by voting present. As president he is going to have to take a stand and if he takes the wrong stand they can't cry racism to help him. He appears to often not KNOW what to do or what his position should be. Everyone knew that when they elected him. He was probably the least qualified person running for president and it's showing. But take heart, his handlers will tell him what to say.
