Nationals scouting report: “Big, strong power arm with four pitches. He has been slowed down some because of injuries but look for him to bounce back this year. He had a good fall pitching in the Arizona Fall League. He throws four pitches for strikes. His fastball is 92-95 miles per hour. He throws two breaking balls, a curveball and slider, as well as a changeup. He has a chance to be a power starter in the Major Leagues very soon.” — Nationals farm director Bobby Williams
