Poland rebuffs U.S. missile-shield offer

By placing missiles on the doorstep of Russia in what was once a sphere of influence of the old Soviet Union the USA has challenged Russia to defend her position of power in Europe.Russia feels, quite rightly, that the western powers are attempting to box her in and isolate her at a time when Russian power is again coming into prominence. The likelyhood of an attack on Western Europe by Iran is so remote as to be unworthy of consideration. Iran has neither the weapons nor the delivery system to marshal such an attack. Should such an event ever occur Iran realizes the likly consequence would see Iran reduced to a smoking hole within 5 minutes of such a foolish endeavor.Iran's major source of annoyance is Israel and her ally the United States, Western Europe is not even on Iran's radar. The missile program is nothing more than a thinly disguised effort by the USA to marginalize Russia. Poland is wise to turn this proposal down because the only consequence for Poland would be to make them a target should the USA and Russia even become involved in a conflict.The presence of US missiles on Polish soil would guarantee this.

Poland is asking for a reasonable commitment with a permanent Patriot Missile installation.Russia is aggressively seeking to reconstitute its` sphere of influence in many of the former satellites of the old USSR.They have meddled in elections,tried blatant intimidation and are emboldened that the feckless UN and a war weary US will offer no serious challenge to their transparent agenda.We have tried initially to work with Putin,not marginalize his country.Now our goal has to be to contain Russia`s mischief and meddling and their policy of undermining US interests whenever they have a chance.Move in the Patriot batteries and let the MDS follow!
