I'm waiting for the day when DC creates a measure to protect landlords from abusive tenants. Tenants have more rights in this town than just about anywhere else in the country. Non paying tenants can often live up to six months rent free in this city before an eviction takes place. It doesn't work that way in MD or VA.

People taking advantage of others: it is the oldest story in the world. And sometimes the injustice and wrong-doing are not all on one side.
Over a period of nearly fifty years I have had six or seven landlords, only one of whom was negligent in more than a minimal sense, and even he was not blatantly so. But I have certainly heard of terrible ones.
