Delay, delay, delay, typical liberal approach. If you can't beat'em delay as long as you can. Perfect solution, vote the bums out.
Then perhaps it is time, past time, for the good people of D.C. to take back their city from these dishonest and thuggish officials. Dishonest in that they want all others to obey their rules but refuse to obey rules themselves, and thuggish in their approach.
Personally I think an American citizen should be able to buy a gun where ever he wants, without licence or registration. The whole 'Background Check' needs to be our next target. it is a backdoor registration.
So D.C. may 'Allow' some D.C. residents to register handguns (Which they still can't legally purchase) if and when they feel like getting around to it?
Since when does one register their Rights? Do we register the right to assemble peaceably or free speech? And what's the wait?
Mark my words, D.C. will regulate the Second Amendment Right to death and/or make the registration process so difficult, time consuming and expensive that there'll be few folks allowed to express this Right.
What's employment like in D.C.? How many people just plain have nothing else to do all day but get into trouble etc? What are the monthly rents? Who sets those rents? Is Harriette Walters still working in the property tax office? Lots of money to be had there, I'll bet, and lots of temptation, too.
