It is always good for people to remember where we come from and our pasts. For a Presidential candidate it is good to have a light shone on it. In that light, I hope that you would considerer these three serenity prayers.
Serenity Prayers for Sen. Obama, The Media, & Larry Sinclair which can be found at zachjonesishome.wordpress.com:

It may well be the economy that drives voters but it's still the war that is affecting our entire economy. $177,000,000 a day (according to what I'm reading) is what's causing our economy to suffer. You can't spend like this and not expect to go broke. Washington is in denial.
In 10 years when Iraq is strong--providing stability in the region and oil on the common market--President Bush may well be regarded among the most brilliant of presidents.
Think long term my fellow Americans.
Ray I hope you will be right, but I don't think you will. When Iraq is stabile and is a strong free country, Bush won't get credit, people like Obama, Pelosi, Kennedy, and Kerry will try to take credit. They will claim that their diplomacy is what brought stability. That is how they work. Let others do the dirty work and they take credit.
As for the economy there are 2 factors that are effecting it the most. Gas and the housing market. Bush in 2000 had the sense to know we needed to drill in ANWR, but was blocked by the left. Now we wish we had drilled, the Republicans are trying to find solutions while Demoncats are finding new ways to point the finger. As for the housing market we all know top Demoncats took under the table loans from Countrywide. Countrywide not Bush or the Republicans brought down the market. (I know because I worked for them for 5yrs until 2007). The borrowers are just as guilty as the companies.
Anti-War beliefs are the easy things to hold onto, looking at the real facts, that is a little harder.
