I am not aware of any team in the history of baseball that had too much pitching. Case in point, the Yankees have too many clean-up batters, and too many middle infielders, but not nearly enough pitching.
Although the need for good pitching is well-known, there is always a dearth of proper pitching instruction for youngsters. I recommend this non-fiction book, "The Road to the Big's" for a refreshing look at the great American pastime.
