Move along, folks, nothing to see here. Everyone knows these G8 pronouncements aren't worth the paper on which they're printed. I'm not sure why you bothered to comment on it. Must have been a slow news day.
What Americans are skeptical about is what can we expect for our tax dollars? What will reduced carbon emissions give us? Carbon Trading has already been called a scam. How many trees does it take to remove one percent of the carbon dioxide we are emitting? Their is no proof. There is an administrative cost that will eventually take over any effectiveness and increase the cost. How about carbon taxes? I leave that one up to Chirac: “For the first time, humanity is instituting a genuine instrument of global governance, one that should find a place within the World Environmental Organisation which France and the European Union would like to see established. “ Is it any wonder all the politicians love it. The path to global governance, the New World Order. They can't predict the weather accurately 48 hours in advance. Why should we invest 45 trillion dollars in a non deterministic model of prediction that violates 72 of 89 discernable weather forecasting principles? Give us a plan for managing energy, not controlling the climate. Let us decide, not the political elites.
