I thought buying stuff like earrings was what we were supposed to do.

An Ecconomy Of Good Conscience! That's It! Did it take Surrogates to figure that one out? It makes sense that a wize ecconomic policy would "sag" over time and people adjust to it along the way, even when it receeding; all like fine wine with age. The barrel of stimulation for short term fixes could range from $600 to all of the Social Security(a temporary fix too). Having a business, building a home, parenting our youth, educating our youth(not to believe everything they hear in the media-even though this here is inter-active media)... ... What is there to mock~?~ ... ...the media!; thats all. Heres an interesting view of covering all the bases- http://griddle.baseballtoaster.com/archives/1050736.html

Earrings for $600- I love it.Buy`em Michelle and you can show how you deal with such a mean country.Be sure to wear them when you give another speech to confirm how you care so much for all those less fortunate than you! Thanks for the comic relief.

What really matters is that Barack Hussein Obama is the political Messiah. He'll fix all our problems and none of this will matter. Who can question him or his wife?

Last year Obama and his anti-American bride dropped $27,000.00 in the collection plate at Rev. Wright's church.... that's $500. a week. Don't be acting like you really appreciate and needed the extra $600.

B. Hussein and Michelle O - out of touch with America. Oh, and did I also mention they're black? How racist of me to say! No, wait, it was B. Hussein who brought up race. Insecure in his own name and his own skin.

It is clear how much different the Obama's are. Someone who suggests spending the $600 rebate on earrings is not living the same way the rest of America lives. How much abuse can people accept from phonies like the Obamas? They both are taking salaries for jobs they don't do. Obama sure isn't working for his Senate salary. He has never convened a single hearing of the Senate Subcommittee he chairs. Does anyone believe these two live like normal people? What do they do besides run their campaign?

She's REALLY out of touch, but they earn lots more than my husband and I. How arrogant and, dare I say, ELITIST.

How did she get 600 in the first place, she and her husband make too much money to get that much money to get a refund. is it because they pay a lot on their home with a morgage of 1.3mm that they received in a special deal from the company that BO got/ just wondering

She did not say she was going to buy ear rings with the $600. "You're getting $600 - what can you do with that? Not to be ungrateful or anything, but maybe it pays down a bill, but it doesn't pay down every bill every month," she said. "The short-term quick fix kinda stuff sounds good, and it may even feel good that first month when you get that check, and then you go out and you buy a pair of earrings." One of the biggest winners in the rebate spending has been porn site memberships. Some of us males would consider a porn membership similar to the short-term quick fix kinda stuff - sounds good, may even feel good when you get that check, then you go out and buy a porn membership. In other words get a life and learn how to read the quotation!!!

How can they reign in the advisors and those who influence their campaigns and decisions? Not only do the candidates NOT KNOW what they're talking about regarding economics and foreign policy, NEITHER DO THE PEOPLE CLOSEST TO THEM. The American people NEED TO KNOW whether any of the political candidates actually have SOLUTIONS to the dreadful mess our country is in, and one way to tell is the 'out of control' advisers spouting off their ignorance. True, it doesn't look good for the parties that their candidates don't know a thing about real solutions, but if that's the best they can give us, we'd better know it NOW before the election!

Maybe Michelle does not need just another $600 pair of earrings, but I can assure you that the teachers of today could use $600 to help them supplement the money that comes out of their pockets to bring a few extras to the children that they teach - and - none of them has one pair of $600 earrings! Has this world gone mad or what?
