Take them at their word. Obama will stifle; McCain will unleash. But first, ...stop whining!
Obama's recent binge of oscillating stands on previous policy statements also plays into fuzzy logic. He has mentioned that he will save money in Iraq but has also stated that it might require a presence in the country instead of a precipituous withdrawal. $$$ Instead of pushing citizens to invest, he is stifling investment and initiative with increase capital gains. Why should I invest in retirement or the future when I know Congress and the President are going to take it away as soon as I try to enjoy it? Are they trying to force me to live off social security or just simply stifle or control my plans for the future? How about earmarks? All you have to do is look at this record for the effectiveness of that idea. You want a reality check, bounce his record against John McCains. His energy policy is strictly carbon reduction. Look at it seriously, it is government control through taxes based on a state of fear prediction. There is no cause and effect. Why 80% reduction in carbon emissions? Why? Because there is not way to achieve it but they can build a huge perpetual government bureaucracy ($45 trillion) around it called global governance, eo ipso Jacques Chirac. The next election will determine if America wants to control their government or have their government control them.
More conservative rhetoric. 8 years of a thoroughly controlled Republican United States and what do we have to show for it?
An economy on the verge of collapse. A trillion + war in Iraq that is strengthening Al Queda and Iran, and global hatred of our great nation.
Go ahead. Elect McCain. Stay the course. Bush's 3rd Term. Hurray.
It's time for something completely new. Intelligent and Competent leadership in the White House. There is only one choice. Obama 08'.
