This country has endured wars, depression, inflation, stagnation, and everything else that has been thrown against it and it has recovered. The one problem it will never recover from is the legalization of twenty million illegal aliens. There is only one solution to this problem and that is to jail anyone who hires them. We now have two presidential candidates who are promising amnesty. We are in trouble. If this comes to pass the twenty million will become forty million and we will be the undisputed crime capitol of the world. That will be just one of the many problems another amnesty will bring.

The other 280 million American citizens will never ever let these illegal aliens EVER become citizens period! Juan McCain and B. Hussein Obama Hernandez should both leave the US and run for pres in Mexico, their home country.

I wonder how a conversation between Abraham Lincoln and JMac ("Dogleg McCain") might go. Maybe something like this.... JMac: Our "comprehensive immigration reform" does not have an amnesty for undocumented immigrants. It is an "earned legalization." Besides, it is essential to understand that they will have to pay a monetary fine as punishment for their behavior. That in itself makes it a not-an-amnesty. Lincoln: JMac, how many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg? JMac: Five Lincoln: No, four. Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg. You can fool some of the people all of the time.... JMac (interrupting): Point taken. Its an amnesty. Besides, Teddy will fix this "monetary fine" thing right after the legalization. We just thought the American people might trust us. Lincoln: Hard to believe. And the "undocumented immigrants" label? JMac: A euphemism to make the amnesty look like a final small step in a process already pretty much completed. We think we can fool enough of the people some of the time. Lincoln: And if the people stop your legislation again? JMac (thinking out loud): We have the courts. We think the Homestead Act or squatters rights may apply here. Kind of like common law marriage. Maybe "common law citizenship." With the right set of Supreme Court justices we could get this done. Lincoln: And if the people reject it? JMac: I am commander-in-chief of the military if the people get out of hand. We are a nation of laws you know.

Two pandering politicians! When will we get a candidate that won't pander? Even though millions of American citizens spoke, out loud, saying no amnesty or earned citizenship and build the fence, neither of these 2 are listening to us. Party loyalty is becoming hazardous to the country and her citizens...we must rise up and demand our voices be heard!

Juan McCain needs to sober up, and quit pulling a Bush on the border.

Again, I am a conservative, registered as a republican. I will never vote for McCain. There are millions out there just like me - where will he get the votes to win? He won't.

The 2007 Immigration Bill failed because over 70% of American citizens said loud and clear "NO!" to amnesty, regardless of how it is packaged by our politicians. How is it that both of our presidential candidates (as well as, I'm sorry to say, our sitting president) can so stridently ignore the wishes of the vast majority of our citizens?

This an instance where a national referendum would come in real handy. These politicians are a hard headed lot and for some a two by four over the head wont even get there attention. I believe without money spent to buy the politicians we are going to loose this fight.
