Well, all i can say is...the political dogs need to git awn with the show in which they were federally mandated to do! And the next time you DC people vote, make sure its for someone that wont trample on your CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS. Have some self respect, and Ditch those Incumbent worthless Nazis.

Public servants of this ilk will never in good faith accede to the SCOTUS ruling without being forced by a contempt citation from the court or be overidden by the U.S. Congress' District Committees. NRA, do you duty and file with the SC to have their ruling enforced...Congressmen Souder and Ross introduce legislation to bypass the sluggish and dissembling DC Council.

The list of infringements on A-13 (Metro section) of today's (20080716) hard copy edition is pretty onerous. The metro PD, attorney general, and "dc gun shops") are all involved in what looks to be a pretty complicated process. This is what happens when lawyers obfuscate a simple process.

The Council and Mayor Fenty could announce "Prohibitive Regulations Replace Ban". "registration process, including fees for registration, fingerprinting and ballistics testing" Yes, prohibitive. "Yet the new legislation contains a controversial provision requiring gun owners to leave weapons unloaded and either disassembled or locked (such as with a trigger lock or in a gun case) unless the owner faces a "reasonably perceived threat of immediate harm." And who gets to make that determination? The same political class and officials who are not protecting the people of D.C. now? The people of Washington D.C. are not being well served, but they voted for these dishonest and incompetent fools. The Right of the PEOPLE to Keep and Bear Arms should be self evident to any honest soul. Self defense and the right to live unmolested are much more important than Mayor Fenty's ego. Chicago next. There can be NO compromise with fascism and these gun grabbers are indeed fascist in the worse sense.

Why am I not shocked at all? I honestly beleive, after hearing this crap, that the DC city council is being paid off by the criminals in DC. Why else would they make laws that punish good people and prevent them from defending themselves. Has anyone called for an investigation into these matters? Honestly, there is something else going on here. Who are they protecting? The Mafia? Drug Runners? They are certainly not protecting the citizens of your city at all. Recall elections and investigations are called for here. BIGTIME.
