The WashTimes - and Stephen Dinan in particular - have really gone down hill. This is the second blog posting I've seen recently in which Dinan has simply transcribed La Raza's venom without calling them on it. That's how the MSM does things, and it's not how the WashTimes should do things.
Start by asking for examples of that "hate". Almost assuredly, those examples with either a) be from the far fringe, or b) won't involve "hate".
Then, go on to find out exactly how she wants to get "hate" off the airwaves. What exact government programs will she support to get her way? And, who will define what is and what isn't "hate".
NCLR is an ethnic nationalist organization with fascistic tendencies, and perhaps the WashTimes might consider pointing that out.
15 things you need to know about the racist organization La Raza.
Just google "Michelle Malkin La Raza" and you'll get a clear picture of what these arses want. The gov should arrest every single member of that group and charge them with terrorism and trying to undermine US laws. Send them all to Guantanemo Bay, Cuba.
The National Council of La Raza is telling the truth when they say they want to "take back the debate". They are trying to define any criticism of themselves or illegal aliens as “hate”. Obama and McCain are supposed to be their enforcers on this by criticizing anyone in their own party who speaks up. La Raza has put the national networks on notice by claiming "hate speech is being parroted on the nightly news”, in spite of how biased most major networks are toward La Raza. The media agreed to use “undocumented worker” rather than “illegal alien” years ago, and they will cave on this demand as well. La Raza is an extremist organization and McCain is foolish to deal with them. How is he going to handle foreign enemies if he can’t handle La Raza? He should denounce them for what they are. Obama has no problem with La Raza as they are fellow radicals.
According to esteemed blogger Steve Sailer's analysis of the Hispanic turnout over the last decade, Hispanic's constitute six to eight percent of the national voting constituency. Then consider that Hispanics are mainly concentrated in five non-swinging states (CA, Ill, NY, FL and TX). THEN consider that a large proportion of Hispanics concentrated therein are unable to vote due to their immigration status. Add it all up and you've got lots of smoke blown for no reason. As Sailer puts it, "the Hispanic vote could very well be significant, IF it ever happens."
Lastly, La Raza is about as credible on this issue as Jesse Jackson is on African American politics. Any group calling themselves "the race" has a clear agenda, and it's not in the best interest of the country as a whole.
