One can use logic to bend facts any direction toward a suitable conclusion (simply leave some out). Therefore you have to rely on integrity. The past and how many times the candidate changes direction. Obama's past indicates an extreme liberal slant, not middle of the road and he is all over the board with changes (clarifying) to his past statements. I guess that is his real definition of "change". Somehow this seems to offer vulnerabilities within "principled diplomacy" that can be exploitable risks to our national security.

Obama has one goal right now. Above all things, Obama wants to be elected President of the United States of America. He has no other purpose in life. He clearly loves the power and adulation he is getting. Obama has shown no indication that he values anything above his ambitions. Mr. Obama will do anything, say anything, sacrifice anyone else and accept aid from anyone who will help him reach his goal. Obama is not concerned about the security and well being of our country, he wants power and the office.

Not only did the New Deal policies prolong the Great Depression but if they are impliminted during the current financial crisis they may trigger a massive recesstion that could cause a depression in Europe where socialist control every nation.

Thomas Sowell expounds the same old trope that raising the minimum wage results in more unemployment. Bla bla bla. At least Sowell didn't also make the standard claim that it will cause inflation. Well Mr. Sowell when Democrats took over Congress in 2007 they passed a big increase in the minimum wage and now trumpet that as one of their two greatest achievements and where is this jump in unemployment? What? Unemployment is up? Inflation too? Oh, never mind. Well in that case it is obvious that we need to increase the minimum wage even more and we need to extend unemployment benefits (to further subsidize unemployment Congress helped cause). Maybe Pelosi should turn our attention to their other great promise during the election of '06 - "common sense" legislation to lower gasoline and energy prices. Democrats passed a great energy bill and prices at the pump have just plummeted from about $1.70 a gallon to $4 a gallon as they mandated greater CAFE standards. See how well things run with Democrats in control Mr. Sowell.

The minimum wage should be raised to $1,000 an hour. Then everybody will be rich, and nobody will care if taxes are raised on the rich, except, of course, for the rich.....

Speaking of inventing facts....the new deal prolonged the great depression. What increasing # of historians support that....now were up to 2? Bet that one's not in any real history books yet. Just the one's the reactionary right construct. Usually not real history books either. Just pop books for the gullible on the right who have such hard times understanding real arguments and doing real research. Suggesting Sen Obama is trying to appease....who is he trying to appease? Left out that bit did he? Oh well while we're inventing facts why bother to add who that invention from thin air is aimed to appease.
