Green is fine if you have a plan, however just saying it (or throwing more money at it) won't make it happen. It is a typical elitist Democrat attitude. The convention has got to be an Al Gore moment. Carbon offsets are a scam according to a London Financial Times investigation. It will be interesting to see how many delegates use the bicycles provided when there are no bike paths for downtown Denver (hope they have insurance). There are over 100 years of political, economic and cultural systems based on carbon energy. I guess they can change that in two month's? Their legislation is the same way: If it feels good do it (try the biofuels debacle), if it doesn't work, throw more taxpayer money at it. The ranchers east of Denver must be rolling in the isles.
There is a difference between being green and being stupid. The democrats refusal to allow the oil companies to locate and drill oil in and around the US is stupid. It is and has been hurting every working person, and like lemmings many of them would follow their leaders right into the sea. I just saw a man in the street interview where many people could not think of a country that began with the letter "U". Most of them had nothing on Paris Hilton or Kelly Pickler.
