HENTOFF: Reality sets in about Obama

LA Times 7/21/2008 This is fair warning to the Los Angeles Times. Don't cross Messiah Obama or your press credentials will be revoked. Reminds me of the USSR, China and Cuba under communist rule. I think a good question for all reporters to ask themselves; does Barack Hussein Obama support the American Bill of Rights? Amendment One Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Obama is not, nor has he ever been, a Professor. Even in its tepid criticism of him the MSM inflates his credentials.

Mr Hentoff: You'd better check your math on the Dottie Chandler Pavilion dinner. If 200 people contributed $28,500 per couple, assuming 100 couples, then the take would be about $ 2,850,000, not $ 50,000. Accuracy in the media? I don't think so.

But...but...but...Nat! I'm familiar with you from libertarian magazines. The Obammunist is 100% socialist - just look at his planned policies, they would bankrupt the nation and destroy the economy. How any libertarian could see him as an acceptable candidate, on that point alone, leaves me utterly dumbstruck! I guess the libertarians are over, dearly departed victims of Bush Derangement Syndrome. Sad, because I learned a lot about economics from Reason magazine during the 80's.
