The key to leadership works both ways. You have to trust your military before your military will trust you. Neither Obama or Clinton trusted our military when Kennedy called the torturers, Murtha called them murderers, Durbin called the Nazi's and MoveOn called Petraeus a betrayer, Reid, Pelosi and Obama called them failures, there was only the willing suspension of disbelief. As McNamara found out during Vietnam, that grunt in the field knows how to deal with complexity from the fractal level, espsecially if it has to do with his or her survival. An 'in the trenches' (or deck plate for you swabees) officers trust is worth more than an infinite number of celebrity politicians.
As long as the conservative party does not promote its own success and the liberal party takes credit for what happens they will quietly fade until they no longer have the authority to be effective.
When that day comes (election day) the world will turn to another tune. The self destructive socialism of small minds and radical actions.
The terrorists will rise and attack the US again. Pray for America.
