Howard Dean absolutely made Obama's ability to connect with the American citizens a possiblity. He taught the stauggie old folks how it is done, but they did not pay attention. Obama did. You want to talk about experience? Fine. You Republicans just keep on with your--I need help logging on--candidate. But the majority of the American people would like a 21st century candidate, thank you.
It was weak leadership and nice guy rules of engagement offering vulnerabilities for the new Democrat special interests in Washington, liberal lawyers and a biased media. If you want a Republican out just jury shop on any pretense until you find one that will convict him or her on a non crime. Newt Gingrich, Tom Delay, Scooter Libby and Blue Dog Democrat Gary Condit, all were ousted with some variant of the this process. Obama has been elevated to "rock star" status with no idea how to lead. Like his 300 foreign policy advisors, his inexperience has forced him to depend on consensus. If elected, he will depend on the Democrats in Congress to provide advice. This is dangerous when they are elitist and do not listen to any constituency (immigration, biofuels, drilling). The Republicans need a set of young conservative lawyers, outspoken real scientists, not consensus, to counter the liberal special interest groups in Washington in conjunction to an aggressive new group of young congressionals. The Democrats don't own the high ground on technology, they just attack from the low ground on relative moral's or their lack thereof.

I hate to burst you're "We're the future" cyber-bubble, but the majority of America's have trouble "logging on" too. McCain is closer to the average American than Obama, which is why McCain will be POTUS and Obama will be just another has-been. Just ask Al Gore. He was portrayed as a 21 Century Man too, remember? After all, Al invented the Internet.
