Hmmm. This article almost makes it sound critical that we keep extending the time for Iran to agree with our position on their nuclear program. Isn't that what was done with Iraq (many, many warnings about WMD - enough, in fact, for them to move them somewhere else) yet the liberals are all saying that we "rushed" to war?

Now Ahmandinejad has global credibility for standing up to not just the U.S. but Britain, France, Germany, Russia and China. Here's the bottom line, if Israel doesn't step in to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, they (IRAN) WILL attain nuclear weapons production capability. None of the five will stop them. Obama definitely won't, his policies are reactive and depend on consensus. This last set of talks could be considered "aggressive principled diplomacy". McCain may not be able to act in time because he needs to stabilize his cabinet, however his experience is the more continuous of the two with regard to foreign policy, McCain doesn't depend on 300 foreign policy advisors. The Navy doesn't teach leadership by committee.

The parallels between now and just prior to WWII are frighting, and way too many people are saying ignore them and talk. Well talk won't solve this matter, for talk to solve anything both sides have to be resonable, Ahmandinejad isn't resonable, and neither is Kim in North Korea, if nothing is done about one or both of these men soon the world is going to have a war to make WWII look small.

Iran is now walking exactly into its own destruction. They are seriously misplaying their hand. Israeli and other intelligence, even open source intellence, betrays them. All they have left is the bluster of mad-man decision theory and yet they are not mad, which we know to be the case in light of information leaking from Iran's general population. So, when the first bombardment against them begins, which it must, and the economic sanctions of war befall them, which they will, the mullahs will collapse. Persian culture is not Arab culture: the majority of Farsi-speaking Iranians are not Arabs. And the Persians of Iran are losing patience with being portrayed internationally as crack-pot pseudo-Arabs. Many true Persians are waiting, if not praying for the bombing that is soon to befall Iran.

And to think... for every mile those piss-ant little Prius' drive, buys one more bullet for the Iranians or their proxies.
