You're statement: Obama has a problem: What do you do when you're a lightly accomplished one-term senator, a former state legislator from Illinois, a Harvard law graduate who has no substantive record of accomplishments and are running against a war hero whom polls show that Americans overwhelmingly view as far more fit to be commander in chief? American voters have been asking this question through out the primaries. Donna Brazille had a a personal role in this inexperienced Senator getting to the position he is in now. This plan all began back as early as 2004. The MSM is finally starting to ask Ms Brazille the hard questions. http://www.thecityedition.com/Pages/Archive/Summer08/BrazileRoveConnect.html

What we are seeing Obama develop is called a simulacrum, defined as "a material image, made as a representation of some deity, person, or thing," as "something having merely the form or appearance of a certain thing, without possessing its substance or proper qualities," and as "a mere image, a specious imitation or likeness, of something" (OED). - CSMT.UChicago.edu. That’s a mouthful, but what it is saying is that a simulacra is an image without substance. Obama is very good at building a simulacra and using it to develop his "aura" and enhance the image which he has not earned. The key here is that the likes of Putin, Medvedev, Jintao, Chavez and Ahmadinejad don't have rose colored glasses so they see vulnerabilities instead of aura. Take Russia for instance. What will Obama do to help Europe if Israel attacks Iran, Chavez supports Iran and two sources of oil supplies to the U.S. are threatened or cut off leaving European energy tied to Russia. Decrease the requirement to reduce carbon emissions from 80% to only 50%? Check out his energy website. It is really an environmental website, alas another simulacra. This is where reality cuts in and the simulacrum dissipates.

Keep on message guys. Don't deviate from the party line. Make the election about Obama. If it ever becomes about McBush he's doomed. How is that strategy working on demonizing democrats all the time? McCain can barely get coverage in the WT. Bush..McCain...just more of the same. If you thought the last 7 1/2 years were just great vote McCain and get 4 more.

Obama snubbed our soldiers overseas except for photo ops. He didn't go see our wounded in Germany because a photo op was not to be allowed. And now we learn his "press interviews" were fake too. A better comparison of Obama comes from George Orwell in "1984"...Orwell called it "News Speak!"

White House officials and Senate Democrats met in private three times last week to craft health care legislation. Do you think these discussions should be more public?
