How many books can one read on this subject, look around, The picture speaks a thousand words. Like it or hate it.It has to work for you or it doesnt. The goverment is waiting to see if the people take it or not. CAN YOU TAKE IT??? Time will tell.

So, referring to illegal aliens as "illegal aliens" is using a "loaded phrase?" Maybe some euphonism that blurs the meaning is better in Mr. Marx's view: "undocumented worker" is a good one, "uninvited guest" is suitably ill-defined. My favorite is "willing worker". Does Mr. Marx think we can arrive at a workable policy by debating the merits of having more "willing workers?"

Washington, D.C., has a severe labor shortage that can be solved only by illegal immigration? So immigrants, for the opportunity to work in D.C., are willing to trek from Guatemala and Oaxaca, cross the border illegally, swim rivers and walk across deserts. But unemployed U.S. citizens won't move there from Baltimore for a job?

Yes, it is amazing what some criminals are willing to do to survive. It also amazing companies are willing to do to keep the flow of "ILLEGAL ALIENS" coming in to this nation. It's also AMAZING the level of arrogance of the Liberal mind set that some how letting all theses millions of "ILLEGAL FOREIGN NATIONALS" or NON-CITIZENS OR "ILLEGAL ALIENS (CRIMINALS)" is a good thing for this Country or any Country.

If you Liberals truly have a need to help someone. Walk away from the computer go to a any poor area and start helping an AMERICAN CITIZENS. Boycott all business's that use SLAVE LABOR from "ILLEGAL ALIENS"!

A far more balanced view of Krikorian's book "The New Case Against Immigration" can be found in the July 6 issue of the Washington Times. In his review, Alfred Tella, former professor of economics at Georgetown University said: "Splendidly written, moderate in tone, and convincingly argued, the book is readily accessible to the layman. At the same time it is thoroughly researched, containing voluminous footnotes and technical references in a separate section at the back of the book."

"Unfortunately, the author can't resist occasionally using loaded phrases such as "illegal aliens," He could have called them criminals and still been completely accurate in his description.

There are so many illegal immigrants (not politically correct usage, but factual) in this area especially in the building trades. As a Realtor, I see it all the time. They are paid substandard wages which takes away from our own workers' and since they don't speak or read English, they don't know the building codes and it causes a lot of problems. But the main thing is that they are taking jobs away from legal citizens and this is not right. The second point is that almost all of the illegals that I have come across that speak of English, use the phrase "my country" rather than the phrase "the old country". It seems as though they don't intend to assimilate. They feel as though they are entitled to be here and don't have to obey our laws. I guess I don't understand how a person can just ignore our laws and have educated people such as Claude Marx excuse this as their right.
