Family has way with crab

For years I'd been told how much better the crab cakes were in the Maryland area. Having been born in Michigan, and having lived in 13 different places, including Paris for three years, I thought I'd had some of the best meals anywhere, and I had. However I can't remember many entrees as delicious as the crab cakes at Gunning's! Oh...my...God! From the first bite I was hooked. Lobster tails in butter? Faggitaboudit! These concoctions elicited a joyous moan with every bite, and I now understand why Maryland people are so picky about their crab cakes when eaten outside the state. Crab cakes at Gunning's are the gold standard to which all others must be measured, and against which all others will lose! These are simply the best ever! Worth a trip to the area from anywhere just for the crab cakes at Gunning's.... Bravo!
