Some people are prone to complain and gripe about everything, and blame everyone else. If this President had ignored the AVAILABLE intelligence and it had proven to be 100 percent correct, you would still be complaining about something. So, actually, what's the difference. Damned either way from where I'm sitting. Everyone chooses their preferred sources for their news, and if that source is the ONLY one that's listened to, in this environment, a lot of information will pass us by. Everyone is biased, and once they've made up their minds, neither heaven, nor hell, can change it. So go ahead point the finger, and complain loudly, but, make an effort to hold the next one to YOUR same standards. You will find, if you honestly do that, they are NO different, and it's all JUST A WASTE OF TIME!

Let's call it what it actually is---Victory. A mass murdering dictator is gone. Al Qaeda in Iraq is defeated. 550 tons of Yellowcake Uranium were recovered and secured. Other weapons of mass destruction were found and secured. Freedom is prevailing. Democracy is prevailing. America won in Iraq. Bush is a genius. The Middle East is changed forever for the good. Get used to it, Katrina---it's called HISTORY.

Katrina--poor baby. Jimma Carter was and will be (until an unlikely a B.O. presidency) the WORST PRESIDENT IN HISTORY. This is common knowledge. Bush got elected twice (unlike Jimma),the surge is a success (sorry, baby)and, yes, the rest of the world gets it, Al Qaeda is getting its ASS KICKED around the world (I know that disappoints you, boo hoo), he saved the US economy after Clinton's recession and 9-11 (History), Iraq does not need 7-11's or Exxon stations (your idea of success) to be the pivotal, free democracy in the midst of the Middle East that it will be and you so fear---these are called can-you-say "accomplishments". Say it with me "accomplishments"? Not "audacities". George Bush will be remembered as being one of the great presidents, alongside Truman and Teddy Roosevelt, and perhaps will even have his likeness carved onto Mount Rushmore in due time. Jimma Carter---your favorite president---will have his image carved on a rock beside Hugo Chavez's palace honoring Jimma's pivotal role in getting him into power, which I am sure gives pleasure to B.O.

I have a hard time believing the "surge" was entirely successful. i know Pendamon is quite emotional about this but can anyone explain why the leadership testified to congress that the levels of violence in Iraq and Baghdad specifically were directly related to how many concrete barriers they deployed and how high those barriers were. We've also seen a huge movement in Iraq where citizens not previously participating in the conflict have been uprising against the extremists because they are fed up with those folks causing so much hardship. On the one hand you have to be disappointed we went in there with no plan or strategy, troop levels being too low as one oddity, but on the other hand you can't take just part of the information and make a judgment. We did not secure 550 tons of yellow cake uranium from Niger. That entire story was debunked. As for the huge stores of weapons of mass destruction, we never found them. Unless you call a couple of warehouses full of conventional small arms weapons of mass destruction. We went to Iraq for oil on a pack of lies. We were attacked on 9/11 by bin laden and we have admitted letting him go on purpose. What we need is strong leadership to help focus our anti-terror efforts to break down terrorist efforts, not create conditions that breed new terrorists. Going and "kicking ass" is not always and has not yet been the best policy here. Whether the answer comes from our self destruction and eventual irrelevance or from a skilled leader I don't know. What I care more about is finding common ground with fellow Americans so we can stop fighting amongst ourselves. Jimmy Carter did many fine things for this country. He traded his reputation for doing the right things as he saw them for peace. It would be nice to have a leader with the kind of guts it takes to act in such a way. Bush is a coward and a liar and will never be defined differently by me.
