RAINBOW POEM: The Trash Can

The trash can eats whatever you give it

It is big and sits in the corner

It opens its mouth wide

Then you put whatever you don´t need inside!

You know it’s weird; it eats cardboard, metal,

Poster board and a kettle!

It once even ate a phone …

And didn’t even moan!

I can’t imagine what it would be like to be a trash can …

Eating all those rotten peels and the scrapings off a pan!

I feel sick just thinking about it …

I’m happy just being myself

Because being a little girl is just my right fit!
