Clinton suspends bid, endorses Obama

Note that Mrs. Clinton "did not release her 1,915 delegates to Mr. Obama, keeping open her options in case circumstances change before the August nominating convention in Denver." Hence, she's "suspending" her campaign instead of ending it (honorably), while "making it clear that all 18 million of her supporters should join her in getting behind Barack Obama." That's disingenuous and condescending - *still* hedging her position while mocking her supporters' integrity and intelligence at the same time. Contradictions? - apparently not a problem when reality depends on what the definition of is is. Whim-ridden opportunism doesn't get much more vile than this.

Actually Peter, John Edwards also only suspended his campaign and has not released his delegates. I'm unsure about Huckabee or any other candidates. It is par for the course and not disingenuous or condescending at all. It's actually a pretty smart thing to do.

Hillary and Bill are use to the Boo Birds by now, nothing bothers them. Hillary will have to wait until 2012 or later now. She ran a great campaign and her passion shows and respect her for going after her dream, even if it came up short!

If I were a Democrat I'd boo also. The only guy John McCain aka Bob Dole could possibly beat is Barrack Hussein Obama. He is just another old recycled Republican who was just next in line like Bob Dole. Both parties are a joke and its on us. I urge you to vote for every 3rd party candidate you can find.

McCain is not a Republican. He never votes with the Republicans, he always votes with the Democrats. We actually had three democrats running for the office. There IS NO Republican candidate in 2008.

Hillary just needs to go away as do her supporters. The fact that she so completely blew this campaign shows that she was not the person for the job. The fact that her supporters have been so acidic in their threats of votes of McCain and urging Hillary to leave the Democratic Party makes me wish they ALL would leave. Obama has excited the world with his candidacy in a way no one else could. For that reason alone he is the right person to get America back on track. 3rd party candidates?? Hey go ahead and throw away your vote on pro-drug, pro-communist candidates if you want.

I was at the event and, not surprisingly, the "hundreds of boos" is quite an exaggeration. There were MAYBE 10-15 people in the crowd who booed but that sound carried because of the awful acoustics in the building. Her supporters will unite for Obama and against McCain. Those who end up voting for McCain are not true Democrats (or for that matter, independents) and would probably have changed their vote at the last minute anyway! WakaWaka - you just need to go away. How disrespectful of you to completely disregard Hillary supporters, especially when Obama is trying to welcome them into his campaign. It's people like you who - had this discussion been a public forum - you wouldn't have the guts to say what you just did. Get some class and stick to the issues.

Wright ( the Pastor of his church that promoted the doctrine of Louis Farrakhan ) , and Frank Davis and William Ayers, etc., etc., are in fact reflective of Obama's true psychological makeup. A conclusion rigidly re-enforced by Obama's San Francisco commentary denigrating folks from small-town America. Obama's affinity for questionable associates such as Tony Rezco, a convicted felon, raises a myriad of questions. Further, his increasingly frequent petulant responses to legitimate criticism is troubling. This man's refusal to wear an American flag lapel pin and to place his hand over his heart on the singing of our National Anthem are conditioned reflexes from his protracted association with disaffected elements in our society; visual images that Obama is certain to attempt to obfuscate in future campaign appearances; even though, he has openly admitted: "I didn't want to offend Muslims and others who don't like America.". Obama is our "home-grown" version of Hugo Chavez. Further, Michelle Obama's angry commentary directed at our country is telling. Fifty-seven (57) State Obama's comments that he would use U.S. Military Forces against Pakistan, a Nation with a sizable nuclear arsenal, and an ally in the war on terror, even without President Musharraf's permission; a Nation that he mistakenly believed to be Arab; his indecision/confusion as to whether Iran poses a serious regional threat; while in other commentary, stating that he would halt the U.S. military's development of advanced weapons systems demonstrates a profound ignorance of the geopolitical threat environment confronting America. His long-term subversive associations, and his immersion in seditious diatribe have indeed revealed Obama as the real-life Manchurian Candidate. Greg Neubeck

I would not entrust either Hillary or Obama with our budget or our national defense. Neither has experience managing a corporate or government budget and neither has any military experience at all. Obama is an inexperienced, naive tax-and-spend far leftist. Every time either one spoke, they promised to throw money at the target audience's cause.

Can't you see that democracy and Capitalism in Washington is and has always been imperfect? Can't you see that the reason there were and are Marxists is because Karl Marx was a revolutionary thinker with brilliant yet, like with all forms of government, occasionally flawed ideas? Can't you see that the reason there is Black Radicalism in this country and distrust in our government is because their anger is completely validated? Even if your claims and beliefs that Obama's "psychological makeup" has been 'corrupted' by these influences in his life, I say all the better. It's about time we had a president whose world view has been shaped by REALITY and WISDOM rather than blind allegiance to a flawed system. I'm young, I'm educated, I'm passionate, patriotic, and I love my country. Fear is a product of ignorance. I'm not afraid to vote for Barack Obama. I'm not afraid of change.

Her stance on abortion doomed her, just as it will doom Obama. Ironic, is it not? Both touted being representatives of the disenfranchised, and they make such claims trammeling over the blood of unborn children, the most neglected almost citizens of our once great country.
