Mr. Blankly is apparently unaware of how completely fed up the vast majority of America is with this type self serving diatribe. For the last 8 years we have been fed a steady diet of demonization of political opponents, false choices like radical or liberal?, innuendos or just plain, vote for that guy and its vote for terrorism. ENOUGH! Any politician assosiated with or profiting from this manure will simply lose in november. The country can no longer afford this radically divisive rhetoric any longer and we don't want it.

BHO is a danger to the USA. He has surrounded himself with racists radicals and terrorists. Does he have ANY long time friends who are NOT racist radicals or terrorists? ANY? He cannot speak on the stump. He needs a teleprompter. He said Johnson and Holder "were not working for him"???? The man in an empty suit if there EVER was one.

"Where are the responsible media?" Apparently not here at The Washington Times. Thanks for your excellent contribution towards the 1st annual "Ugliest Presidential Race Ever" contest. I guess a black presidential candidate really is going to bring out the worst in this country. (I suppose a case could be made that this started about 8 years ago though...)

Mr. Blankley and others rightfully shed light on this new trend of mascot candidates. Perhaps mascot candidates (such as George W. Bush) have been successful in their bid for the White House because enough Americans just don't want the hard work and trouble of muddling through a genuine democratic process. There is a collective immaturity in our society that has no tolerance for ambiguity. That's why we are seeing candidates with no record to confuse us. There are no hard choices when a clean slate is presented upon which we can project our hopes and dreams. It feels good. It feels hopeful. But is it real? Discovering the slate is not so clean is just...well... HARD AND CONFUSING. If your message is "be quiet and fall in line" keep it to yourself. It's easy to understand why you don't want your new found hopes dashed, but if we want sustainable change then we must look below the surface of this rhetoric. Real change does not happen overnight and does not happen without hard examination and critical thought. Thank heavens for Mr. Blankley and others who won't let it rest.
