Op-Ed: Democracy in decline

Well said, I have noticed the same thing here in the good old U.S. I am amazed at how many people don't understand the basics of capitalism, or how raising taxes and being more dependent on the government, hurts, rather than helps, their condition. Corporations are demonized for taking windfall profits and CEOs are chastized for their golden parachutes. Of course, the people doing the demonization are busy working at these very same corporations (in some cases as a CEO), and spending their hard earned pay each evening at yet other corporations large and small. If it were not for the blessings of capitalism and democracy, we'd really have something to complain about.
