MCAMNESTY'S PART IN THE BID RIGGING Please do a complete investigation of Frenchie McCain's part in this bid rigging, including girlfriend lobbyists. That guy was behind this corruption all the way, and needs to be exposed and held accountable. Some "national security" expert--he sells out our defense contracts to corrupt foreign corporations!

From reading local papers in WV recently, I thought the NG/Eads group was going to build some parts at the Bridgeport WV airport, using local people and transfers from other NG facilities in the US. The papers mentioned builing facilities at the airport to do this. So I think what Boeing says about losing American jobs is untrue, Where is Senator Byrd when they need him? He is in on most deals bringing business to WV, what does he have to say about this?

As a taxpayer, I'm less concerned about who won than I am about why it costs $35 billion to build 179 planes which are basically just big, flying gas tanks. It seems like it would be much cheaper just to open up a few more bases so they could land on the ground and refuel. Particularly as we now have bases in, what, 80 counties?

Hello Radicalcentrist..are you still there? The problem with your thesis is that it omits the military mission of tankers. Which is...to build a "tanker bridge" in the air to refuel our bombers and fighters along their merry way to destroy our enemies military assets far far away from any of those bases in your 80 countries. You may say, "what enemies?" "where are they?" I'm sure you can imagine at least one potential enemy. Hint: They are trying to steal all our advanced technology, and have more spies in the US now than the Russians ever had during the Cold War! That my friend is why we need an Air Force as big and strong as it can be. When any potential enemy takes a good look at our strength and ability to "reach out and touch someone", they will never want to test us. Our present tanker force is pushing 50 years average age and very expensive to maintain battle ready. Here is what our air forces have done. Since 1953 no American infantryman, upon hearing an airplane overhead, has had to bother looking up. It would always be a US Air Force or US Navy aircraft. Radicalcentrist, please let's keep it that way. Marcus Colonel, USAF (Retired)
