The Editorial seems hostile to the VA and Sen McCain without any reasoned input from either one of them. I view this type of journalism as poorly representing the situation, as the "story line" is that the VA has been intentionally experimenting on their patients.
I filed a FOIA suit regarding dangerous drugs used by the VA in the US District Court of Eastern Missouri, Case #04-cv-1515. These drugs are banned by the Helsinki Accords. Naturally, no information was produced on these drugs. The case can be read on the internet, or google lawscan2001.
